California's new Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) rule is changing the game for medium- and heavy-duty truck operators. Passed on April 28, 2023, this rule mandates a transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). Starting in November 2023 for drayage fleets and January 1, 2024, for all other regulated fleets, CARB's ACF requirements will phase in, ultimately reaching 100% by 2045. WAVE Charging supports the Wireless EV Charging Grant Program Act of 2023, introduced by Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) on July 13, 2023. If enacted into law, a new grant program will be created in the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to provide funding for wireless EV charging projects. This visionary legislation would stimulate a wireless charging market that WAVE Charging has led for over a decade.
