Today, we honor #Juneteenth, a moment in history that marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans on June 19, 1865. This day is not only a reflection on past injustices but also a reminder of the ongoing struggle against systemic racism that affects credit, and fair lending practices today. We aim to foster an economy that prioritizes equity and ensures that our financial systems are just and inclusive for Black communities and other communities of color across the U.S. In observance of Juneteenth, our branches and Customer Care Center are closed today as we take this time to reflect on our role in this ongoing journey toward economic justice. Together, let's keep pushing for a fair and inclusive future. Happy Juneteenth! Beneficial State Bank Member FDIC | Equal Housing Lender

Beneficial State Foundation’s latest Underwriting for Racial Justice meeting focused on lending to Native American communities, highlighting unique challenges and innovative solutions from the perspective of Native American community development leaders. Thank you to all the panelists who participated in this great session. Conversations like these are pivotal in our collective pursuit of a future where economic justice is universally accessible. Our latest Underwriting for Racial Justice (URJ) quarterly meeting offered an opportunity to learn from those working directly with Native American communities. The discussion featured insights from four impressive panelists: Darkfeather Ancheta from 1st Tribal Lending, Agnetha Jaime Gloshay from Common Future, Shannon Ward from Native American Bank, N.A., and Tamra Marlowe from the Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund. Each panelist shared their expertise, offering practical strategies to enhance access to capital and support Indigenous economic development. Our panel referenced the pictured quote from NDN Collective multiple times, recognizing that Indigenous wealth cannot be measured merely in dollars.
