🌍 Today marks a pivotal moment in aid efforts worldwide as we launch a stronger Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), placing crisis-affected individuals and communities at the forefront of our work. The updated CHS reflects more than 4,000 voices across 90 countries from crisis-affected communities and response organisations. While its essence remains unchanged, the updated CHS reemphasises the fundamental rights of those whose lives are upended by emergencies. The revised Standard is now more inclusive and accessible, with simplified language and a streamlined structure to engage a broader spectrum of actors who support those facing crisis. Thanks to the hard work over the last 2 years of all the CHS Alliance members, partners and collaborators who made this possible. We now urge all organisations working to support those in need to sign on to a Statement of Commitment to demonstrate our collective dedication to providing quality, accountable aid. 🤝✨Learn more about the stronger CHS and how to show your support: https://lnkd.in/e9rga_ch #chs #chsalliance #accountability #quality #transparency #ngo #humanitarianaid #aidwork #internationaldevelopment #development #parternships #humanitarian #verification #accessible #accountability #compliance #MakeAidWork #CoreHumanitarianStandard #DemandAccountability Sphere Standards Groupe URD HQAI - Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative ICVA (International Council of Voluntary Agencies) Tanya Wood William Anderson Véronique Barbelet All India Disaster Mitigation Institute Matthew Carter OBE Aninia Nadig Pierre Hauselmann Bonaventure Sokpoh Shama Mall Romain Benicchio Aydée Cecilia Marín Pallares Umut Dilara Baycılı Rita Rhayem Philip Tamminga Charlotte Dufour Charly Pierluigi Gloria Soma Christine Knudsen Christian Modino Hok Mervat Shelbaya Unni Krishnan Zeina Mohanna, PhD Claire Goudsmit Rosa Argent Steven Parkinson Walter Brill Martina Brostrom Coline Rapneau (PSEAH Manager_CPCC/PCC Coach) Sandra Fong Vivian A. Today, CHS Alliance's Coline Rapneau (PSEAH Manager_CPCC/PCC Coach) spoke at a roundtable on the #CAPSEAH Initiative: The Common Approach to Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment Confirmation. As one of the organisations who helped develop the approach, which incorporates the Core Humanitarian Standard, we are proud to be part of this joint action to tackle sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment. Coline shared: “CHS Alliance endorses the CAPSEAH initiatives and encourages our members to do the same. "Its strength lies in its ability to complement and reinforce the CHS accountability framework. It also fosters collaboration by bringing together various actors from the humanitarian, development and peacekeeping sectors, amplifying the impact of individual organisation and also promoting a unified and coordinated response across the sectors. "By aligning with CAPSEAH organisations benefit from sharing knowledge and learning, increasing advocacy and show a stronger commitment to protect people in communities from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment.” Learn more 👇 https://lnkd.in/gpJzSdQb Thanks to all the organisations and people behind this important initiative: ICVA Secretariat Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Gamhewage, Gaya Christian Saunders World Health Organization

We're delighted to be working with Humentum to grow the network of female sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (#SEAH) investigators in low- and middle-income countries. Check out the new animation below and learn how the #IQTS is making survivor-centred investigations the standard 👇
📣 Effective investigations of #SEAH in the humanitarian and development sector require a survivor-centered approach. But there's a gap: most victims/survivors are women, while most investigators are not. CHS Alliance and Humentum, supported by USAID, are bridging that gap. We're equipping more practitioners, including women and resource-limited #CSOs in the global majority, to conduct investigations that prioritize the rights, safety, wellbeing, and needs of victims/survivors. IQTS is making this possible - it's accessible, affordable, and inclusive. 📽 Watch our animation to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eNTknfSZ Tanya Wood Christine Sow Cynthia S.
