🇸🇹 Photo gallery of the #EuropeanUnion Election Follow-up Mission (EU EFM) to São Tomé e Príncipe. The EU EFM arrived in São Tomé on 1 June and will stay until 30 June. The EU has deployed an Election Follow-up Mission to São Tomé e Príncipe to assess the progress made in the electoral reform process and the implementation status of the 2022 EU Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) recommendations. The EU EFM is headed by Maria Manuel Leitão Marques, a Member of the European Parliament and Chief Observer of the 2022 EU EOM. During her week-long visit to the country, Ms Maria Manuel Leitão Marques, accompanied by the Union européenne au Gabon ambassador, based in Libreville, Ms. Cécile Abadie, and the EFM experts, met various electoral stakeholders, including the President of the Republic, the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice, the Supreme Court of Justice, the Constitutional Court, the Public Prosecutor and other relevant institutions, political parties, civil society and media representatives. Yesterday, 20 June, the mission organised a roundtable meeting of electoral stakeholders, where participants discussed the progress made so far in implementing the 2022 EU EOM's recommendations.
