Ensuring electoral integrity is crucial for the health of democratic governance. At the European Platform for Democratic Elections (EPDE), our mission focuses on monitoring and improving election quality and transparency throughout Europe and Eurasia. By addressing unimplemented election-related recommendations and exposing fake observers, we protect the democratic process from manipulation and fraud. Our databases and reports empower citizen observer organizations, uphold the legitimacy of elections, and foster trust in democratic institutions. One of our core activities is identifying and exposing politically biased election observers. These fake "observers" undermine the credibility of genuine electoral processes by legitimizing "elections" and "referenda" in authoritarian regimes, such as Russia or Belarus. Our efforts to reveal their bias and "name and shame" are really important for maintaining the integrity of the institution of elections globally.
