In Downtown Dallas I spotted these. Dallas Police Department appears to be watching key areas. Seems so simple to upgrade these areas to do so much more. It would be simple to add proactive active deterrence. Allowing for the engagement and deterrence in critical moments. Not to mention adding weapons detection, gunshot detection & much more via Action-CS partners. #proactivesecurity #crimeprevention #gunviolenceprevention

A man opens fire with an automatic rifle during a traffic stop by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department. One officer says, "What'd he hit us with, dude? “Before officers could exit the police vehicle, the suspect, armed with a fully automatic weapon, fired at officers without warning,” LAPD said. One officer was grazed twice by the shots. They caught the shooter, and he faces multiple charges, including attempted murder. Guns are not the issue, criminals getting away with lower level crimes and escalating is the issue. Until there are serious repercussions this is only going to get worse.

Officers need MORE training in situational awareness for this type of situation.

Law Enforcement Executive | Chief of Police | Public Safety Leader | Community Engagement Specialist
These are the things that happen when we forget why we hire law enforcement officers, and we fail to help them to keep our communities safe. We begin to think we don't need them, and we stop supporting them. Then the criminal element takes over. It's much easier to keep our communities safe than to try to reclaim them after we've lost them. Support your local police. Hold them accountable for good behavior and solid Constitutional policing, but give them your support. We hire them to give full-time attention to what we should all be giving some attention to. Community safety.
What chance does a citizen in Chicago have when they are attacked by heavily armed robbery crews? The video below shows several recent armed robberies caught on camera. As you can see, it does not matter what time of day or night it is. Multiple robbery crews of four to eight are operating all over the city looking for their unassuming victims. You can see how quick they are to exit their stolen vehicle with guns blazing and blitz their victims. The offenders are heavily armed, which brings about confidence like no other. The offenders are in hoodies and masks making it nearly impossible for traumatized victims and witnesses to make an identification. The offenders are well aware that police officers cannot chase them in a car and are limited to chasing them on foot. Criminals know that even if they are caught and arrested, the criminal justice system will release them right back onto the streets with no consequences. There is no end to this violent and traumatizing crime in sight. https://lnkd.in/gxjFS-Rc https://lnkd.in/gFTE4vdF https://lnkd.in/grJPDt6n
