Meet TEPHRA™ - Forge Nano’s new 200mm single-wafer, ALD cluster platform designed to coat single wafers at 10x the throughput of traditional #ALDep systems with unparalleled 100x precursor efficiency. Today, Forge Nano announced further expansion into the #semiconductor market with the launch of its new atomic layer deposition product and industry-first application. TEPHRA enables conformal coatings to scale to aspect ratios greater than 10:1. With a flagship all-ALD Metal Barrier Seed film application, TEPHRA offers nitride and metal depositions in high aspect ratio structures for advanced 3D integration applications, including through silicon and through glass vias. TEPHRA is available in a range of configurations with the option for four-sided, six-sided and eight-sided cluster platforms. 🔬 Ti6Al4V, commonly known as Ti64, is today’s most in-demand alloy for #additivemanufacturing due to its high strength and low density. To make the most of each gram of Ti64, manufacturers recycle used powder with pristine powder when printing parts.  However, oxidation during printing limits how much of the used feedstock can be blended with pristine powder. In powder-based manufacturing processes, the surface properties of feedstocks have large effects on the final printed parts so large variabilities lead to defects, reducing their strength and potentially resulting in failure points.  In pursuit of a more reusable Ti64 powder, Forge Nano partnered with additive material supplier, ELEMENTUM 3D, to improve the quality of Ti64 feedstocks using Forge Nano’s Atomic Armor platform.  In this study, we explored how #ALDep upgrades Ti64 powder, the effect of ALD on its bulk properties, and how feedstocks treated with Atomic Armor can produce printed parts with improved strength.  Read the full study here 👉 https://lnkd.in/g7CT3pCn

Forge Nano celebrated our CEO Paul Lichty's successes this past weekend at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Mountain West awards celebration hosted at the The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. Paul was one of over 40 entrepreneurs within the region recognized for his tenacity and grit during the ceremony. Forge Nano just wrapped an eventful week in Washington, DC!   Our CTO James Trevey was invited to The White House to discuss ways in which the U.S. can cement its future leadership in electrification, specifically battery innovation and home-grown capacity. With Forge Nano's work to increase cell-level performance and safety while lowering costs utilizing its #ALDep Atomic Armor technology, and Forge Battery's plans to produce cells in the U.S. at its Raleigh, NC Gigafactory, it was a fruitful day of discussion on ways in the which the government can continue to support the burgeoning industry.    James also shared his insights on the U.S. battery supply chain to a packed house at the Benchmark Mineral Intelligence Giga USA 2024 event.
