How did you spend 1402? It has been three years since I made the decision to live in a way that would make it the best year of my life. While 1400 and 1401 were indeed the best years of my life, I cannot say the same about 1402. Let's review 1402 in three categories: Career-wise, it was a roller coaster. I quit my job three times and worked in four different companies. Although my CV may raise some red flags for HR teams, I successfully passed all the HR interviews I participated in. Personal-wise, 1402 was filled with challenging days and tough decisions. However, I learned a great deal and have evolved into a better version of myself. I am eagerly anticipating the outcomes of my choices in 1403. Technical-wise, it was quite remarkable. I developed interesting features for a tourism system. I learned SQL, Spring Data JPA, JUnit, and Spring Security frameworks as part of my learning roadmap. Currently, I am focused on mastering LPIC1 and Micro-services. I believe that 1403 has the potential to be the best year of my life. Wishing you joy and prosperity. Happy New Year! Let's rock and roll!

This hiring guidance by the state of New Hampshire should be an area of consideration beyond simply state openings. It should be considered by hiring managers and human resource teams in the private sector when choosing to select formal education as a requirement for job opportunities. Experience far outstrips much of what can be learned in academia in most cases, and far too often the best talent may be presorted before any human oversite. In my case, formalized Information Technology degrees simply didn't exist at the beginning of my 30-year educational and work career but that doesn't stop hiring teams looking for them. Don't let convenience prevent your teams from finding the best talent. Wall Street cares about degrees, the bottom-line cares about hiring the right people. From New Hampshire's hiring guidance: Under a recent change to the rules, an applicant's relevant experience now counts towards formal education degrees referenced below! See Per 405.01. 18 Months of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree 36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree 54 Months of additional relevant experience = Master's degree

Expert in DfR, Reliability Estimation | 10+ Years Leading High-Impact Projects in Product Development
Two things I've learned throughout my career that might be even more important than technical knowledge: be kind to people and lend a hand when someone needs it. Everyone's career has its ups and downs, and these two behaviors will help you rise again when you hit a low point. Be Reliable, be Maintainable (flexible), and most importantly, be Available. Be RAM - (Professional side joke!)
