Intercon is pleased to announce a recent contract award to build two shipsets of Main Propulsion Motor Walls for the US Navy's new Columbia Class submarines. This contract marks the fifth and sixth shipsets of Columbia Motor Walls that Intercon will produce for Northrop Grumman. We are proud to support Northrop Grumman, Leonardo DRS, and General Dynamics Electric Boat in supplying these mission-critical components to the submariners of the US Navy. This award marks the 34th year that Intercon has produced large, complex fabricated and machined propulsion components for numerous shipbuilding programs, including: - SSBN-826 Columbia Class Main Propulsion Motor Walls - DDG-51 Arleigh Burke Class Main Reduction Gear Housings - CVN-78 Ford Class Main Reduction Gear Housings - FFG-62 Constellation Class Main Reduction Gear Housings - CVN-68 Nimitz Class Main Reduction Gear Housings - LHA-6 America Class Main Reduction Gear Housings Contact Intercontinental Engineering-Manufacturing Corporation for TechPub-248/278 qualified Fabrication, TechPub-271 qualified NDT, and ISO 9001:2015 certified Heavy Machining of components up to 200,000lbs.
