Did you know most private sector Risk Intelligence programs peak at the early maturity and ROI stages? One key indicator of immature programs is the unmeasured allocation of resources to Geopolitical risks red herrings - you've all seen those pretty charts 📈 and maps 🌏 (e.g., no sensitivity analysis, no value of information metrics, no post-mortem/performance analyses, conflating Geopolitical news monitoring and 'analysis' with risk intelligence, etc.) Unsurprisingly, #generativeai 🤖 can measurably augment the analysts' work - even in this domain. Still, I predict it will do so only for those who recognize the limitations of current practices and the opportunity size of maturing ERI functions toward measurable economic returns. And for those, LLMs can already deliver functional rocket fuel 🚀 in many more specialized roles and applications across the intel cycle. These are exciting times! https://lnkd.in/eTB7rg-w #riskintelligence #intelligence #aiapplications #artificialintelligence #forecasting #geopoliticalrisk

Management Consulting Leader & Corporate Executive | Insights - Analytics - Strategy | Life Sciences | Global and U.S. Experience
The Conundrum in Life Sciences A.I. is becoming increasingly clear as management interest continues to grow and investor pressure is going up. Namely, that expectations are high to invest big, and to “deliver” quick, all the while – at the heart of Life Sciences, in R&D, some of the defining principles of A.I. are sometimes complex to apply, due to the human nature at stake. Coming out of our 2024 series of tech and A.I. bootcamp meetings this week, I’m pleased to see early adopters and senior leaders engaged, efficiency solutions taking shape, and our expert squad embedding new ways of working throughout the organization. Having had my fair share of leadership in life science analytics, data, and tech, and A.I. evolution over the years, I can only applaud the momentum we’re seeing now throughout the industry and work toward resolving even the tricky tasks pertaining to data quality, feedback/ learning, and output verification. At Deallus, we’re leveraging a number of tech and A.I. platforms, both for efficiency and for innovation, while focusing on the “So What?” and “Now What?” - for better intelligence, deeper insights, and richer implications. #ai #artificialintelligence #lifesciences #pharmaceuticalindustry #Deallus

I am happy to share that our research "Employee Turnover in Multinational Corporations: A Supervised Machine Learning Approach" co-authored with Rubina Romanello (University of Trieste, Trieste, Italy) and Torben Pedersen (Copenhagen Business School – CBS, Copenhagen, Denmark), has been published in Review of Managerial Science (ABS: 2; IF: 5.5). This study demonstrates the analytical and predictive power of a classification decision tree based on the CHAID (Chi-square Automatic Interaction Detector) algorithm to identify the characteristics of employees who voluntarily leave the company. Can we use machine learning techniques to identify the characteristics of employees who voluntarily leave the firm? Proud of this empirical research paper developed with my great co-authors Valerio Veglio and Torben Pedersen and recently published in Review of Managerial Science. #machinelearning #employeeturnover #hrmanagement #decisiontree #reviewofmanagerialscience
