It’s been an exciting week for Plug and Play at KL20 Summit 2024! 🚀 During the event, we announced the signing of MOUs with 3 leading Malaysian corporations - Khazanah Nasional Berhad, EDOTCO Group, Cradle Fund - that marks a significant milestone fostering innovation and collaboration in Malaysia. Together, we are poised to unlock new opportunities, drive impactful initiatives, and propel Malaysia’s startup ecosystem to new heights! Our co-founder Jojo Flores also participated in a panel - It Starts From The Grassroots: Fostering Talent To Build Quality Teams in Asia - where he discussed the key themes shaping Asia’s talent pipeline including AI’s impact, talent competition, government support, technological adaptation, and future skills. Working Saturday. As the government drives multiple levers to achieve the Ekonomi Madani targets, a key initiative being led by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia is the Government-linked Enterprises Activation and Reform Programme or GEAR-uP. Heads of our six Government-linked Investment Companies (GLICs) and our national petroleum corporation PETRONAS were in the room today. That’s representing 18% of the country’s GDP contribution, and over 200 thousand employees. Put simply, this is a group that can collectively harness its resources and experiences, and deploy its people to make meaningful contributions to the economic growth of the nation. Our Roundtable discussions today centered on working together to catalyse investments to Raise the Ceiling and partnering with the government to Raise the Floor. Thank you T Muhammad Taufik , Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir Rick Ramli Hamadah Othman Ashraf Radzi , Nik Amlizan Mohamed , Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn and Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad for spending your Saturday morning reaffirming our shared commitment to the betterment of the country. Khazanah Nasional welcomes PM YAB DS Anwar Ibrahim's ASEAN Investment Initiative announced at KL20 Summit 2024! Together with KWAP and Blue Chip Venture Capital, an investment of up to RM3bil will be allocated in SE Asian and Malaysian ecosystems. Khazanah, through the National Fund of Funds (NFOF), with an initial allocation of RM1bil will invest in innovative high-growth companies which would positively impact the Malaysian economy.
