This is how to collaborate at the highest level to achieve great solutions
Leidos has successfully completed the critical design review https://lnkd.in/g3ySr_mj (#CDR) and system requirements review https://lnkd.in/gtuCPEmh (#SRR) for the Air Force Research Laboratory's (#AFRL) airbreathing #hypersonic system called #Mayhem. Leidos utilized a system design agent (#SDA) construct, collaborating with 15 entities from industry and academia, including Calspan, Draper, Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, and the University of Michigan. The role of the SDA for this program includes bringing the best of industry together to perform research and development necessary for production of air-breathing multi mission hypersonic system prototypes. The SDA will oversee designs, prototypes, and tests to ultimately produce and deliver a technical data package for high performance, relevant hypersonic weapon systems. The conceptual system design of Mayhem is said to surpass current capabilities in the evolution of hypersonic weapons. AFRL plans to leverage the SDA and Leidos' expertise through the Expendable Hypersonic Multi-Mission Platform Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to further advance hypersonic technology maturation. Development work on the U.S. Air Force’s experimental, hypersonic Mayhem vehicle has been paused following the completion of an early design milestone due to a “temporary” lack of funding, the lead design company said June 4. https://lnkd.in/gkTvrKWP

EMF—or radiation in general—has an undeniable role in our everyday life. From communication, wireless power transfers to medicine. It’s important to recognise that radiation encompasses a broad spectrum of phenomena, some of which are beneficial and others that require careful management and consideration. SensaWeb provides EMF spectrum monitors that present data in a user-friendly manner, enabling both organisations and local communities manage and understand EMF exposure effectively. This enhances a sense of safety and confidence in their workplaces and residential areas. #SensaWeb #Radiation #RadiationExposure #RadiationMonitor #RadiationDetection #RadiationData #RadiationProtection #Radioactive #EMF #Nuclear #NuclearSafety #Healthcare #Safety #Security #WorkplaceSafety

McGuire Aero Propulsion Solutions Inc. ("MAPS") has announced a €100K grant award competitively secured through NATO's Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) Energy Resilience Challenge. As part of this award, MAPS will join the DIANA accelerator programme. DIANA exists to harness emerging and disruptive technologies, boosting NATO's competitive edge in collective defence and security. As climate-change-influenced natural disasters and conflict become more frequent and severe, efficient means to re-establish power to critical infrastructure in the aftermath is more critical than ever. As a result, self-contained power systems that are quickly installed, require minimal maintenance, and operate independently are highly valuable. DIANA sought technology solutions that enable the modular design of microgrids that can meet supply demands; recognizing that existing solutions are inadequate.

The future is big in Texas, and it can be really good if we continue to ask the right questions and take the right steps. I spent some time discussing my thought on utility improvements in Houston. Please take the time to read and then share with your local municipalities or representatives as well as others. Summary and Specific Steps: 1. Standards need to be established for municipalities near the coast that address extreme events. These standards need to be legislated and then enforced and funded for TDSP (transmission and distribution service providers) to follow. Suggestions made above. 2. Standards for ISP providers need to be established for municipalities near the coast that address extreme events and integrated as code. A limited subset of Cell towers should be considered as well. 3. ERCOT should consider amending critical load designation to include multi-tenant data centers as well as ISP owned facilities. The world is interconnected and digital and while power is on, we cant have 911 centers not operating due to the internet being out. A Glimpse into the History of Air-Gapped Network Cyberattacks 👇👇 👉 Stuxnet (Late 2000s): A malicious worm introduced via USB, disrupting Iran's nuclear infrastructure. 👉 AirHopper (2015): Demonstrated data exfiltration using electromagnetic signals emitted by computer graphic cards. 👉 DiskFiltration (2016): Used noise from hard drives to steal data from isolated systems. 👉 Fansmitter (2017): Exploited computer fan vibrations to transmit data covertly. 👉 MAGNETO & ODINI (2018): Leveraged malicious code and a device's magnetic field to extract data from air-gapped PCs. Even the most isolated systems have their Achilles' heel. Always prioritize multi-layered security! 🛡️ #AirGapHacks
