Going to Gym is not healthy If you are not following a healthy diet. I have seen that nowadays the youth does not take care of their diet, they mostly eat junk food. They don’t even have a sleep routine and are mostly sleep deprived. They don’t practice meditation and yoga. And due to all this not only their physical health suffers but their mental health suffers too. Just going to the gym because of peer pressure will not automatically improve your health. You have to take care of your body. Because if you compromise with your health in the young age, you will face heavy consequences in future. Did you know there are 7 types of rest?? 1. Physical Rest: often the first thing we think of when we think of rest! From adequate sleep, body work like stretching and yoga, or breathwork, physical rest is key. 2. Mental Rest: taking care of our mental wellbeing can include scheduled breaks, calming music, turning off devices for a while, or spending time in nature. Find what works for you! 3. Social Rest: ‘Tis the season for events! Make sure to spend time with those who nourish and inspire you. Maybe take a break from socializing or spend some time alone, if it feels safe. 4. Creative Rest: We can’t always be creating. Take some time to get inspired by reading, watching, listening to something that will spark ideas. Let go of the pressure to constantly create. 5. Sensory Rest: Think of the five senses and different ways to incorporate restful practices. Some ideas are aromatherapy moments of silence, dimmed lights, less time on social media. 6. Spiritual Rest: Ground yourself with meditation, prayer, spiritual texts, and potentially a spiritual community if you’re comfortable. 7. Emotional Rest: Free yourself through journaling, heart-to-heart conversations, and being yourself. If life is running you hard and you don't know how to support yourself, start here. ❤️ 💡 Here's a Daily Checklist to Support Holistic Health Needs.💡 ⏩ Assess ⏩ Support ⏩ Connect --Practice Diaphragmatic Breathing for 5-10 minutes (morning and evening) --Use Box Breathing during moments of stress --Perform the Five Senses Exercise (morning and evening) --Practice Physical Grounding every morning (with sunlight!) --Meditate with Mindfulness Meditation for 10-15 minutes --Do a Body Scan Meditation before bed --Engage in Gentle Movement (yoga/stretching) for 15-30 minutes --Include at least 30 minutes of moderate Exercise (walking/jogging) --Use Soothing Touch techniques as needed (e.g., weighted blanket, self-massage) --Eat regular, nutritious Blood Sugar Balancing meals --Make an effort to check in with at least one friend (Social Connection) These are tools to help you cope with feelings burnout.
