🌈 Yesterday we launched our #Pride month celebrations with a coffee morning in the canteen for all staff at Andor HQ 🌈
Across Oxford Instruments we will be celebrating Pride with informative posts on the lived experience of our LGBTQ+ colleagues and their families, rainbow-filled celebrations on numerous OI sites across the world and we will also be getting ready for participating in local Pride Parades.

B2B marketing to be proud of 💚
Last year, we had the privilege of partnering with Oxford Instruments plc on its launch campaign for the Unity Detector. More than 'just' a new instrument, the Unity Detector paved the way for a new standard of imaging with the introduction of the BEX technique to truly move the market and make a real difference.
If that wasn't reason enough to be proud, we're thrilled to hear that the 'Making Imaging Elementary' campaign has been shortlisted for the Global Digital Excellence Awards in the Integrated B2B Campaign of the Year category!
Best of luck to the other finalists 🤞

We're excited to share that our BEX imaging detector, Unity 🔬, has been recognised as a winner in the 2024 Microscopy Today Innovation Awards.
This award honours instruments that offer improved, faster, easier, or entirely new analysis methods using a microscope or microanalytical instrument. Our Unity detector introduces a new analytical technique called Backscattered Electron and X-ray (BEX). It captures and combines BSE and X-ray signals simultaneously, allowing users to instantly observe the microstructure and chemistry of samples in full-colour, high-resolution images.
Well done, team! 👏

As part of #PlasticFreeJuly, colleagues from across the world joined a call with Daniel Webb from Everyday Plastic today. We were challenged to look at our own plastic use and how we can start making small changes that make a big difference. His practical advice on how we can help tackle the plastic problem facing society, both individually and as a business, were really inspiring. Thank you, Daniel!

We are so pleased to introduce our Ox, Bluey, one of the herd of 138 oxen forming the #OxTrail2024 in Oxfordshire this summer.
Bluey was painted by local artist, Catherine Rye - doesn't he look fantastic in the sunshine at the main entrance of the Churchill Hospital?
As a global company with its roots in Oxford, we are proud to support the trail, raising funds for the incredible Sobell House Hospice which makes a huge impact in end-of-life care locally.
Why not download the app and see how many you can find? There are special discounts and offers at each ox; a great day out for the whole family!
🎉 51st Anniversary Celebration of ITRI 🎉
We were honoured to be invited to the 51st anniversary celebration of Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)(工業技術研究院, 工研院).
We have been proud partners of ITRI since 2006. Our collaboration began with the first R&D centre, established in 2011, which has now expanded to become the Asia-Pacific R&D Center for Compound Semiconductors, focusing on SiC and GaN.
As a key partner of ITRI, Oxford Instruments has enjoyed collaborating to drive the development of cutting-edge technology in Taiwan and we look forward to achieving even more remarkable technological advancements together in the future!

Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is a form of scanning probe microscopy that uses a probe to explore the surface of samples to visualize materials at the nano and atomic scales. Contact mode is a fundamental imaging technique in AFM and serves as the foundation for various derivative imaging modes. However, its performance has remained largely unchanged since the inception of AFM. Our recently released Vero AFM has revolutionized the AFM landscape by introducing a new era of contact mode imaging, offering unprecedented resolution and precise force control.
Register for our next AFM webinar to learn how to get unparalleled results using Vero’s contact mode!
