Do all companies book spaces the same way? No. Do all companies plan their spaces the same way? No. One of the things about making a flexible product is that teams will use it to book space the way they want to. There is no one size fits all when it comes to space design and so our platform has to be flexible for how teams are operating in hybrid. When we look at data across customers and industries we can see that the teams on inspace operate very differently despite having alot of the same space types in their office. Booking activity needs context as well to tell the full story. Looking at a traditional industry like CRE and seeing a lot of desk use wouldn't make much sense unless you knew the companies included have shared desk policies and that they also have cultures that take virtual calls from the desk. As hybrid work continues to take hold across the US I think we'll notice more differences in ways of working and I'm excited that our platform can be flexible enough to accommodate them all. --------- I'm Omar from inspace . I have been with William Hands since 2019 as Business Manager for London. My role is to bridge the gap between our business partners and the factory, enabling their workplace schemes to translate into manufactured reality. 2. What do you enjoy most about working at William Hands? It’s the wide variety of customers and their diverse requirements that I enjoy most. Each day can be so different that it’s impossible to become bored working here. 3. What are the main changes you have witnessed in the industry in recent years? There has been a real increase in virtual meetings over the last 3 to 4 years and exploring the means of conveying the quality, breadth and flexibility of our collections can be a real challenge. Thankfully, showroom visits and face-to-face meetings are on the increase again. Clients are able to touch and feel the way we do things at William Hands and the difference that makes to their interior scheme. 4. Where do you think the focus will be, in terms of clients’ requirements and tastes in 2024? The requirement for meeting and conference rooms is once again on the increase. Meeting spaces need to be flexible and able to perform different functions. The use of Teams, Zoom and Video Conference meetings has meant a renewed need for fixed to wall table systems that incorporate the variety of connections needed to make the most of the latest technologies. 5. What do you do outside of William Hands? I enjoy spending time with my family, eating out, socialising and relaxing. I have also been a Scout Leader for nearly 40 years which takes up a lot of my spare time!
