BRAKING SYSTEM Braking systems are among the most critical components of any vehicle, providing the means to decelerate and stop safely in various driving conditions. Comprising several components working in tandem, braking systems play a pivotal role in ensuring driver and passenger safety on the road. The primary function of a braking system is to convert the kinetic energy of a moving vehicle into heat energy through friction, thereby slowing down or stopping its forward motion. This process relies on the interaction between brake pads, rotors (or drums), calipers, and brake fluid to generate the necessary friction and dissipate heat effectively. Modern vehicles are equipped with hydraulic braking systems, which utilize brake fluid to transmit pressure from the brake pedal to the brake calipers or wheel cylinders. When the driver presses the brake pedal, hydraulic pressure forces the brake pads to clamp down on the rotors (or drums), creating friction and slowing the vehicle down.
