Open RAN's Comedy Hour: Network Laughs Live! 😄 Why did the 5G Open RAN crash the comedy club? Because it knew how to break down barriers and deliver punchlines with low latency! One day, Open RAN ran into a traditional network at the bar. The old network said, "I’ve been around for decades!" Open RAN replied, "Well, I’m the new kid on the block, and I’m already stealing the show!" On stage, Open RAN joked, "Why did the signal go to school? To improve its reception!" The audience burst out laughing when Open RAN added, "I told the Wi-Fi, 'You think you’re fast, but I’m 5G - I make connections in a blink!'" Continuing the fun, Open RAN quipped, "Old networks are like dial-up jokes – slow and outdated. I’m here with fiber-optic wit, delivering laughs at gigabit speed!" The crowd roared when it said, "I’m so open, even my antennas are on friendly terms with everyone!" Open RAN wrapped up with, "Why stick with clunky old networks? Join the Open RAN revolution and let’s make connectivity and comedy seamless! Because in my network, the only thing we drop are punchlines, not calls!" #OpenRAN #5G #NetworkHumor #TechComedy #LowLatencyLaughs #ConnectivityRevolution #TelecomFun #TechJokes #NetworkInnovation #LaughsInTheCloud #NextGenNetworking

This is not true even though I don't buy it. Popcorn 🍿 is made from dry maize and the price of 1 Kg dry maize differs from place to place. If you buy it from Bihar it will cost you a maximum of Rs.50 per Kg and if you buy it in Delhi it varies from Rs 50 to 300 per kg.And if you buy it online the price will change accordingly. So here is the place, that is important from where you buy it not the maize. I have another example: Since you are a Co-Founder and CEO , your importance and price also varies from place to place. If you are at home , your importance is as a family member not a CEO OR A CO-FOUNDER. If you are at PVR your importance is the same as other people watching movies at PVR not Co-founder or CEO. If you are on this earth you are the same human being but you are a different person in your company or in business forum due to your designation and your company. If you are sick, and hospitalized in a hospital, the charges differ from place to place. So the price of goods depends on the place where you buy it. The same is with popcorn 🍿. I don't think it's overpriced at all.
Thanks to PVR and other multiplexes, whenever I go to watch a movie these days - it's a beautiful journey of self reflection as well. It generally goes like... - Wtf, one popcorn box for 490 Rs!!! I'm not buying this. - But, movie should be coupled with popcorn. - Who said that?? Marketing and branding narrative said that. But, it's not the time to bother about that. - Yeah but I make decent money - so technically it really doesn't matter financiallly whether I buy this crazy expensive popcorn or not. One works hard to earn and spend money, no? - But, is it about money or something else? If I would have earned more - would I still have felt the same? Have I still not made it in life? Hmmm...I don't think more money is going to solve this problem. - It's about something else. It's brazen loot. I'm not going to allow someone to do that. - But, half the world is buying! Maybe, I'm overthinking. - Okay, I'll buy the combo, it will feel less cheated although I'll spend more money 🙂

More Content to watch As I said last month, I would recommend programs or content I found interesting. I did find some in the last 30 days: The Bear--on Hulu--it is frenetic and loud and great---brilliant writing and casting--get thru the first 2 episodes and you will binge thru the first and second season. Hidden Assets--on Acorn--very clever Payback--on Britbox----Tense--dramatic No Offense--also on Britbox---quirky--police comedy/drama--fun Two movies to watch Anatomy of a Fall--a little long--but very good drama--available on Prime for modest rental fee---but worth watching American Fiction---a wonderful movie--in theaters--but I'm sure it will be streaming soon---this is terrific and a real parody of the times we are living in Stay safe everyone and enjoy-- Fred

I help professionals communicate more effectively with techniques derived from the world of stand-up comedy. The workshops are fun, but also full of tangible business takeaways.
A little tip about how ad libs work in comedy and how you can use them in any piece of business communication. https://lnkd.in/efhwF_yq Clip used from friend of Smirk Experience, the brilliant James Dowdeswell. #communicationskills #publicspeakingtips #smirkexp

A refrain I’ve heard in the entertainment industry is about the relatively low adoption by consumers of closed captions. My sense always was that those asking that question had bad quality captions, explaining the low usage. Now I’m hearing more organizations speak about the HIGH adoption of captions, even among younger folks with perfect hearing. Clearly the quality keeps going up. Still… I feel like there is more room for improvement. I wanted to open the conversation to the experts in my network like Larry Goldberg, the father of closed captions, my various friends at 3Play Media who offer SOTA solutions, my friend Meryl Evans, CPACC (deaf) who is an influencer in this space, and Rebecca Avery who has implemented captions at a variety of companies… here’s my question: I struggle with the dialogue sometimes and would have CC on all the time. But it drives me crazy when the captions get ahead of the spoken word. Especially when watching standup comedy where it ruins the punchline. Different people have different needs… will this get better? Would it serve everyone to sync the captions more closely? Or is that not desirable for everyone? Perhaps tunable? ie for comedy, sync it more closely, for emergency services, handle it differently?
