Great account executives are a force multiplier and contribute in ways that are absolutely felt but often unseen (by most). These are the type of people I look to hire, learn from and protect at all costs. They will help other AEs work strategy, use the cheat codes they learned or earned over months and years, and often contribute to top line growth by acting as proxy for other sellers. But none of this will ever show up in their pipeline or deal pursuits. Sometimes, these folks will even end a year at 85-95% of their quota but have contributed literally millions in new business by helping their peers succeed. ✅ They have no ego. ✅ They have a growth mindset, believing in abundance over scarcity. ✅ Sellers, BDRs and SCs around them ❤️ working with them to get better every day. ✅ They play the long game by helping their leaders and the company, knowing that everyone’s success is their success too. ✅ Everyone they come in contact with loves to have them around….whether it’s getting on the phone with them or into a deal cycle because they get excited about the adventure they are embarking on rather than making it feel like work. These are the people you should curate, love and protect at all costs. I believe it’s the difference between 15% growth and 150% growth in a company.
