Black fathers and the power of telling their story: Black fathers face unique challenges in today’s society. From societal stereotypes to systemic barriers, they’re often overlooked and undervalued. This can lead to feelings of isolation, frustration, and disempowerment. It’s time to change the narrative and celebrate the strength and resilience of Black fathers. The Power of Storytelling: Storytelling is a powerful tool for breaking down barriers and building bridges. By sharing the stories of Black fathers, we’re humanizing their experiences and showcasing their triumphs. Our project features a documentary series, photography exhibit, and written stories that highlight the diversity and complexity of Black fatherhood.

This #BlackHistoryMonth, #TRIMEDX honors the contributions, achievements, and legacies of Black people in America. This month is a time to learn and reflect, while also recommitting to the work of dismantling systemic racism in our nation. The 2024 Black History Month theme is “African Americans and the arts,” which celebrates all the contributions Black people have made to visual art, music, fashion, literature, and more.
