🌟 The day we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! 🌟 Today during the Grand Opening event, Tom Declercq, Deloitte University EMEA Dean declared our new, bespoke, state-of-the-art learning facility officially open. A selection of Deloitte professionals from across the #EMEA region have been enjoying an incredible experience showcasing the best of what Deloitte University EMEA can deliver. The long awaited moment came after an inspirational plenary with guest speakers and leaders, including Deloitte Global CEO Joseph Ucuzoglu, Deloitte NSE CEO Richard Houston, Deloitte DCE CEO Sami Rahal, and Deloitte Spain Talent Leader Jorge Dominguez. We are incredibly proud of this moment, a result of years of collaboration between Deloitte member firms and geographies in our region. 🌟 A memorable evening for Deloitte University EMEA! 🌟 On Friday 31 May 2024, we had the immense pleasure of hosting our first event in the stunning Agora, the ballroom of our new Deloitte University EMEA facility! 🎉 We were delighted to welcome our neighbours, including Mme Anne Gbiorczyk, Mayor of Bailly-Romainvilliers, Mme Véronique Flament, Mayor of Magny-le-Hongre, along with Christophe Giral from Real Estate Development by Euro Disney. At Deloitte University EMEA, we believe in the power of community and the importance of building strong local relationships. This event allowed us to connect more with our local community, to show them who we are, our intentions with the new campus, and how we can together aim to contribute towards the development of the Val d'Europe Agglomération territory. This event marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to foster strong relationships and contribute to the development of our neighbourhood. Together, we look forward to many more successful events that bring our community closer and drive positive collaborations. It was another exhilarating weekend at Deloitte University as we hosted over 300 school leaders and 56 transitioning service members for #CourageousPrincipals 1 & 2 and the CORE Leadership Program, respectively. 🎓🎖️ Deloitte’s award-winning social impact leader development programs are designed to empower a selection of our nation's most committed leaders – educators and Veterans who've dedicated themselves to others and to service. Courageous Principals 1 participants worked on cultivating relationships and mastering courageous communication to drive successful change in their school communities. 🤝🗣️ Seasoned school leaders at Courageous Principals 2 worked towards shaping a positive culture, inspiring followership, and building resilience to adeptly manage their roles as the CEOs of their schools. 🏢🌟 Veterans at the CORE Leadership Program reflected on and practiced how to leverage their invaluable military experiences for success after service. Building an inclusive workforce starts with embracing diversity of thought and the lived experiences we all carry with us in our personal and professional lives. It’s core to our purpose at Deloitte and guides our intention to embed diversity and inclusivity into everything we do for our people, our clients and within the communities where we live and work. On my recent visit to Deloitte University (DU), I had the opportunity to see the power of diverse thinking come to life. I spent time at Deloitte’s annual Black Leadership Summit, which brings together more than 700 Black professionals across our organization to share their unique experiences and viewpoints while fostering connection and inspiration. The stories I heard were powerful and left an impression on me about the importance of continuing to nourish an equitable and inclusive workplace for the next generation of leaders to flourish. While at DU, I also had the chance to try out our new DEI Experience, an immersive installation (pictured here) that celebrates diverse identities. Using a series of questions that ask how you define your own identity, the installation builds a live, visual kaleidoscope that represents each individual’s unique perspective and shares personalized resources and opportunities to connect with others. The experience honors the diverse perspectives and lived experiences we each bring to the table and provides a roadmap to expanded connection we can each leverage. #OurPurposeImpacts #BlackLeadership #Inclusion #DeloitteUniversity
