Keiko MATSUI : История

Имя Кейко Матсуи (Keiko Matsui, урожденная Keiko Doi) широко известно в джазовом мире с середины 80-х. Японская пианистка, говорящая языком джаз-поп и фьюжн, получила также признание как оригинальный композитор, сохранивший верность музыкальной культуре Востока, и как своеобразная вокалистка. 

Кейко Дои родилась и выросла в Токио. История ее романа с пианино, ставшего смыслом ее жизни, началась очень рано. Ей едва исполнилось пять лет, когда мать, учительница традиционного японского танца, отвела девочку на первый урок музыки. Конечно, первая встреча с учителем состоялась 1 июня - недаром в Японии говорят, что если ребенок начинает учебу именно в пять лет и именно 1 июня, то успехи ему гарантированы. Опровергать народную мудрость Кейко не стала.
