Join us for an open Q&A about DSpace 7. Tim Donahue, the Technical Lead for DSpace will provide an overview of the latest updates for DSpace 7.3 then the floor is yours! We will answer questions about DSpace 7. This is a free session and will be recorded.

Hosts

Jenn Bielewski, Community Engagement Strategist, has over 20 years’ experience in providing support and services to libraries, archives, and museums at LYRASIS. At LYRASIS, Jenn has held a number of positions from Membership Coordinator, LYRASIS Member Support Supervisor, Cataloging and Technology instructor, to the Open Source Implementation Manager for Evergreen, Islandora, and ArchivesSpace. She currently works with all of LYRASIS programs to support promotion and communications. For DSpace, she serves as the Chair for the Marketing and Interest Group. Jenn also provides support and coordination for the LYRASIS Leaders Forums and Member Summit. Before joining LYRASIS, Jenn was employed with SOLINET where she began her professional library career as a Preservation Microfilm Specialist. Prior to SOLINET, she was a circulation and children’s programming Library Assistant at the Adairsville Public Library, a Technical Services and Microfilm Specialist at Berry College, and also worked at Georgia State University in Access Services. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Florida State University.

Tim Donahue is the Technical Lead for the DSpace project. He coordinates community participation in the open source development process, including helping define the roadmap and organizing development meetings. He has been a DSpace Committer since 2006, and joined the DSpace project team (previously at DuraSpace) in 2009. He has a degree in Computer Science (University of Notre Dame) with a Masters in Library and Information Science (University of Illinois). Prior to joining the world of libraries and repositories, he was a Technical Architect for a small consulting firm that specialized in Documentum document management solutions for Fortune 500 companies. In all, Tim has over 20 years of professional software development experience, with over 15 of those in the open source realm.
