Donner, Nancy




A native New Yorker, Nancy Donner has spent the better part of her career working to promote education, the fine and performing arts, and mission-driven organizations. She is a communications, marketing and branding expert who specializes in helping organization strategize their way through thorny situations. She has been the Vice President at several major cultural and educational institutions, including The New School, (home of Parsons School of Design, Mannes College of Music and what was once Actors Studio - now the New School for Drama); the nation’s largest public library system, The New York Public Library; and the nation’s oldest museum, The New-York Historical Society. Nancy now has her own consultancy, Donner Creative Communication Strategies, where she has worked with non-profits as diverse as the Ford Foundation and City Parks. Nancy spent the early years of her career working as an Assistant Unit Manager for ABC-TV, as a Story Editor for an international theatrical producer, and as a publicist for a small literary PR firm. She is a graduate of Brown University with an A.B. in English and Theater and lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with her husband, Gary Martin, an interactive multimedia artist.
