Author Biographies

Dr. Jing-Hua Wang received a bachelor's degree in the college of Chinese medicine from the Anhui University of Chinese medicine, P. R. China, in 2004 and obtained a Ph.D. degree in the Korean medicine department from Daejeon University, South Korea, in 2010. He worked as a visiting professor from 2013 to 2018 at Donguk University. He worked as a manager of the research and development department from 2018 to 2019 at Cure Pharmtech Ltd. He has been an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Bioscience & Integrative Medicine, Daejeon University, South Korea, since 2019. He has about 15 years' experience in studying herb medicine, as well as metabolic and hepatic diseases, in university and industry. He also filed a Korean patent regarding a noninvasive diagnostic approach of hepatic fibrosis. His current research interests include herbal medicine, metabolic disorders, hepatic diseases, and the gut microbiome. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed and recognized papers in the SCI journal. He has served as a Lead/Guest Editor of several Special Issues in Natural Product Communications, Frontiers in Microbiology, and Biomedicines since 2012. He also served as a reviewer for plenty of SCIE journals, including Scientific Reports; Phytotherapy Research; Journal of ethnopharmacology; BMC CAM, Journal of Food Biochemistry; Food and Chemical Toxicology; Pharmaceutical Biology; Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine; European Journal of Integrative Medicine; etc.
