Reelgood: Hulu’s ‘The Bear’ Switches Spots With Disney+’s ‘Secret Invasion’ Atop Weekly Streaming Chart

The second week proved a charm for Hulu’s family diner drama “The Bear,” as the second season of the series supplanted “Secret Invasion” on Disney+ as the most-streamed weekly content through June 29, according to Reelgood, which tracks real-time data from 5 million users in the U.S. across SVOD and AVOD services for original and acquired streaming programs and movies.
The previous week, “Secret Invasion,” which stars Samuel L. Jackson as spymaster Nick Fury waging battle against a group of shape-shifting aliens, topped “The Bear,” featuring Jeremy Allen Wright as a troubled former New York culinary chef prodigy who returns to his Chicago roots to save a family sandwich shop.
The debut of “Hijack,” co-starring Idris Elba as a hostage negotiator aboard a hijacked commercial airliner, on Apple TV+ finished No. 3.
