This discussion page previously used Flow. You can see and continue those discussions on the Flow archive page (all archives) or you can start new discussion on this page.

So, how can I convert my talk page back to pre-StructuredDiscussions?

[edit]

I think, and I acknowledged, that for several real-life problems, I shouldn't use this feature globally for my talk page, and I disabled it as beta feature on all previous, but I can't disable it on this site as it looks like enabled by default for me. You have to do it manually: move your talk page to a new title and then it will default to wikitext. * Pppery * it has begun 00:21, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thx. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 00:23, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
For the context, the work on Temporary accounts revealed an opportunity to reduce the technical debt by sunsetting StructuredDiscussion/Flow and LiquidThreads. These features were officially abandoned years ago, and have a huge maintenance cost in production. Plus, we now have Discussion tools. We have contacted the communities that use these features most, including Chinese Wikipedia.
@Liuxinyu970226, if you have the opportunity to inform other Chinese Wikipedia members about this change, your help will be greatly appreciated. Any active user should move their Flow board as a sub-page. In the coming months, the Editing team will move any remaining Flow board as a sub-page to re-enable classical talk pages everywhere. Flow board will then be set in read-only mode. Of course, any concerned user and community will be informed about this change beforehand.
