Helping schools build sustainable CS programs

For over ten years, the TEALS Program has partnered with nonprofits, NGOs, and corporations, both local and global, to build teacher capacity and student interest in CS. Our partners are critical in expanding our reach.

Reaching new communities

TEALS’ first expansion outside of the US was BC, Canada, bringing CS education to schools and students. With our partner Digital Moment, a leading nonprofit, we will continue to accelerate our work and increase our impact.

Digital Moment (formerly Kids Code Jeunesse) is a Canadian-based charity and is part of a global network of organizations that work towards mobilizing communities to build a better future through digital skills education. Digital Moment focuses on creating programs and experiences for youth and their communities on digital skills like coding, algorithm and data literacy, and artificial intelligence.

With a shared mission of closing the opportunity gap, TEALS has partnered with AVID and Best Buy to build sustainable computer science programs in high schools beginning in the state of Minnesota.

CSTA is an organization run by teachers, for teachers. Their goal is to continue to grow the CS community to ensure every educator has a home. The CSTA is a trusted community engagement and teacher training partner for the TEALS Program, and all TEALS teachers get a free CSTA+ membership which gets them access to various CSTA events. CodePath

CodePath provides technical training, career guidance, mentors, and a community for college students looking to enter the tech industry. CodePath is partnering with TEALS to offer the CodePath Community College Cybersecurity Program to bring industry professionals and instructors together to teach real-world cybersecurity skills.

Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF)

HHF is a national nonprofit focused on education, workforce, and social impact through culture and leadership. By partnering with the TEALS Program, HHF intends to bridge the digital divide and provide tools to teachers and youth from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they have the skills and opportunities to excel in the ever-evolving, tech-driven world. HHF supports school recruitment for TEALS in select regions.

Reaching excluded communities
