Operation MWR: We’ve Got Your Six Launches on Navy Installations Worldwide

Washington --- This month, Navy Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) launched its Operation MWR: We’ve Got Your Six initiative at Navy installations around the world. This resiliency initiative is designed to celebrate and support the Navy community’s continuous commitment, enhancing morale and resiliency through entertainment events. 

To date, over 24,700 patrons have participated in sixteen diverse events from Annapolis, MD to Rota, Spain Guam. A notable event at Naval Station Norfolk, VA featured country music legend Dierks Bentley, attracting an audience of approximately 15,000.

The upcoming weeks will see 50 additional events, featuring performances by Andy Grammer, Ludacris, The All-American Rejects, lovelytheband other acclaimed artists such as Eli Young Band, Goo Goo Dolls, Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Plain White T’s and Russell Dickerson.

FFR plays a crucial role in supporting the well-being of Sailors, veterans, retirees and Department of Defense (DoD) civilians and their families. Navy MWR's Operation MWR will host 65+ free events at Navy installations worldwide from May to June 2024. These events aim to boost morale and resilience among service members and their families through live entertainment, recreational activities, food, games and more. Open to active duty members, reservists, veterans, retirees, DoD civilians and eligible MWR patrons.
