Supporting Parents New to Hearing Loss online events

Have you recently found out your baby, toddler or child has hearing loss? Join our free online events to find out what support is available for you and your child. They’re a brilliant chance to meet other parents and carers of deaf children and become part of a community. 

These sessions are open to all parents and carers of children aged  0 to 12  who have found out in the past 18 months that their child has any level or type of hearing loss. 

Whether you have some or no experience of deafness, our friendly experts are here to support you and your child.

Event details

Part one: First steps after diagnosis 

  • Wednesday 24 July 
  • 1pm to 2pm 

Join this session to learn more about the support available for you and your child. 

Part two: Understanding your child’s deafness 

  • Wednesday 31 July 
  • 1pm to 2pm  

This session will be led by an audiologist who will provide in-depth information about childhood deafness and advice on the best ways to support your child. 

Part three: Becoming the parent of a deaf child 

  • Wednesday 7 August 
  • 1pm to 2pm  

In this session, we'll discuss what it's like to be a parent of a deaf child, feelings and thoughts you might have, and give advice on looking after yourself.
