STOP TRACK TRAGEDIES

Introduction

#STOPTrackTragedies tells the stories of people who have been personally affected by railway crossing and trespassing incidents. Through these stories, the 2023 campaign reminds Canadians that unsafe behaviour around tracks and trains — whether it’s using tracks as a shortcut or a recreational path, train-hopping, ignoring railway signs and signals, or being distracted at crossings — isn’t worth the risk.

On this page, you can watch all of the videos from this year and previous years’ #STOPTrackTragedies campaigns. You can also download resources to learn about rail safety and how to talk to your loved ones about staying safe.
