  1. SO THE "REVOLVING DOOR' IS OKAY FOR BIGTIME MAINSTREAM JOURNALISTS, BUT NOT FOR CORPORATE TYPES? OR IS CARNEY PROVING HIMSELF ONE OF THE LATTER?

  2. How can you say the media wasn't in the tank for OBAMA/BIDEN? The media elected Obama. Nice work in being objective, Carney.

  3. this is anothr example of liberal bias in media. Its fine that he is going to work for Biden, but come on, how can Time say they are not biased when their campaign reporter now works for a politician he was "supposed" to be covering 2 months ago with an unbiased eye. Time ahs every right to be a libeal magazine, just don't insult our intelligence but claiming you are not biased for Democrats.

  5. "How can you say the media wasn't in the tank for OBAMA/BIDEN?" Because "the media" is not a single, monolithic force with one mind.

  6. Everyone saying this proves media bias, I ask only that you show it. If Carney was in the tank, provide evidence. Just because he was clearly a Dem working as a journalist doesn't mean his work is suspect. And for those who think the media elected Obama, please keep telling yourself that. The longer Republicans go without a serious examination of the party's huge problems, the better off the country will be.

  7. The media has no bias. The media has no bias. The media has no bias. If I repeat it enough, maybe it'll be true.

  8. Why is this news? Carney and Time were already assistants to the Obama and Biden campaigns.

  9. Does this really suprise anyone?? Watch Fox News the most balanced that you are going to find. I am a recent convert; they had the best coverage on the primaries, and general. I subscribe to Newsweek, not anymore; too damn liberal, and I guess so is Time. I have read the Economist, and it seems to be the one to read. Does anyone have any comments on The Economist. What periodicals does a moderate Democrat have to read anymore??????

  10. The late Toney Snow was a broadcaster and columnist and a regular guest-hosting for The Rush Limbaugh Show and providing news commentary for National Public Radio, he launched his own talk radio program, The Tony Snow Show, which went on to become nationally syndicated. He was also a regular personality on Fox News Channel since 1996, hosting Fox News Sunday and Weekend Live, and often substituting as host of The O'Reilly Factor. In April 2008, Snow briefly joined CNN as a commentator. So was Tony Snow in the tank for Bush???? You bet'cha. The Repub talking point that the media is in the thank for Obama is an attempt to deflect away from the true reason for their loss. Carney was one of the most credible unbaised reporter. I like the way these Repubs can't admit they lost pure and simple. Its as though people can't use their brains and that everyone who voted for PE Obama was because of media bias. Bush has an approval rating in the twenties. He was a disaster ... the repub. policies failed pure and simple and we elected PE Obama. Pure and Simple. In the Repub defination this is called media bias. They are good at pointing fingers at others but not their own.

  11. Does Tony Snow mean anything to you people? The Fox News commentator came from the first Bush administration and went onto to work for W. In between he served as an unbiased moderator on Fox News Sunday? It isn't just Obama/Biden folks.

  12. Carney is great, and after the blasting he got unfairly from that awful Nicolle Wallace, I'm glad we snatched him up! He'll be a level headed spokesperson, and I look forward to hearing him!

  13. tony snow was a biased conservative reporter, I'll admit that, what i can't stand is that Time and the liberal media will not admit that they are biased liberal democrats, sean hannity is a biased conservative, he'll admit that, matt lauer and the nbc crew are biased libs but they won't admit that, thats the difference

  14. Big Surprise - an Obama sychophant masquerading as a journalist during the election joins up with Obama after the election. Pay fawning coverage in exchange for play in the executive branch. Of course, the politico won't report that.

  15. Ah the ongoing media flacking for its 86% bias toward liberal socialist pacifists like Obama. Where was Keith O the hater in this new WH? If anyone ever again thinks the liberal MSM is anything but biased toward Dems, Jay and others are just other examples of incest.

  16. you people obviously didn't follow the campaign coverage from Jay Carney. Carney is from North Carolina and a republican background. He is married to Claire Shipman of ABC News. He was not an Obama partisan. This is a great career move. He is obviously a skilled journalist. Accepting a big job with great visibility doesn't make you a partisan - it makes you smart Read Carney's columns - he was no Obama-man -- you can see his disillusionment with McCain's campaign as it turned ugly - that makes him the same as most people -- He was a BIG McCain guy in 2000 - and a disappointed one in 2008 Stop with the partisan stuff The man hasn't even been inaugurated yet

  17. No one ever said that the late Tony Snow was unbiased. He was a conservative republican. We are saying that Carney is a liberal democrat. He proves it by working for Biden.
