Tick-related issues re-emerge as the springtime blooms in Poland

Last year, over 100,000 cases of tick-borne diseases were recorded in Poland, 99% of which were Lyme Disease - but in recent years, Tick-Borne Encephalitis has also become a growing challenge for public health.

Around the World, 2024 has been the hottest year on record so far - and Poland is no exception. Stints of warm weather, bordering summer, have been appearing across the country since late February - and now spring has bloomed. With its arrival, however, the topic of ticks, Lyme Disease and Tick-Borne Encephalitis return as well - more and more intensely as the Polish winters milde.
