Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 527,390: report

Around 527,390 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 7,958 tanks, 15,287 armored fighting vehicles and 13,927 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Monday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Sunday, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 1,080 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,104 multiple launch rocket systems, 853 air defense systems, 359 warplanes, 326 helicopters, 28 warships, and 11,167 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Monday is day 845 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
