From October 1986 to May 2004, and fronted The Movie Show on SBS. Upon their departure to the ABC where they fronted At The Movies, a new version of The Movie Show was launched. This incarnation ran from 2004-06 with , , , and reviewing film and DVD releases. A final version of The Movie Show had and reviewing films from 2007-08.

Boogie Nights director Paul Thomas Anderson
In February 1998, The Movie Show interviewed the PT Anderson about his sophomore film. When crafting the surprisingly upbeat end of the film, the young director explained that "I tried to come up with the saddest happiest ending I could come up. I think that comes from... You know the fate of these people. You know that five minutes after you walk out of the movie theatre that their lives are going to still go on. They are going to be as tragic and sad as always. So why not offer five minutes of hope?"
Reviewing Driving Miss Daisy
Back in March 1990, David Stratton reviewed the Jessica Tandy/Morgan Freeman film from Australian director Bruce Beresford. While Stratton doesn't immediately sound enthused: "When I first heard about Driving Miss Daisy, I thought it didn't sound very promising", but he admits being surprised by the film - eventually giving it a four and a half star grade.
Tom & Nicole interviewed for Eyes Wide Shut
The then-married stars of the film Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise were interviewed for The Movie Show in 1999 where they were asked about working with the legendary Stanley Kubrick. Both Kidman and Cruise offer their thoughts on what the film is about and just how personal the film became for them and their director.
Review of Michael Clayton
In her October 2007 review of the George Clooney slow-burn thriller, Lisa Hensley said that: "[Director Tony] Gilroy proves that tight plot structure and clever dialogue is enough to create the suspense required. This is a moral tale that is particularly timesly in these days of overt spin doctoring."
