In March 2016, innocent ran a trial to check compliance to our chill chain in some of our European regions. We used temperature probes in bottles of smoothies to gather data, but not all the temperature probes were recovered through our distribution network before product was delivered to our customers. Because of a potential choking hazard identified for drinkers, the decision was taken to recall product from the market (Germany and Switzerland). Post the incident we have used the learnings to put preventative measures in place to ensure we never have a reoccurrence of this type of incident.
