The Preaching of The Gospel is The

Testimony of God
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with
excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the
testimony of God.
1 Corinthians 2:1
 Thought for the day.
For the Gospel to have its salvific effect in your heart and
mind, to transform you, you need to embrace the wisdom
of God and unlearn your supposed wisdom.

Most of what is propagated today as the message of Christ

from pulpits all around the world are simply a set of
moralistic precepts given to believers on how they can live
the Christian life. I have nothing against morality, but the
message of Christ transcends moral precepts. The gospel
of Jesus Christ is the disclosure of the persuasion of God;
it is the testimony of God. It is not the message about how
you can receive an absent Jesus into your life; rather it is
the revelation of how the Lord Jesus Christ has included
you into His Life (2 Cor. 5:13-21). The Apostle Paul tells the
Corinthians that he was not insistent on teaching moral
precepts when he was amongst them. He rather insisted on
preaching of the message of Christ, and Him crucified. The
term ‘preaching is the Greek term 'kerygma', which is the
heralding or the announcement of the actualities in Christ.
Kerygmatic preaching refers to what has already been set

into effect in Christ Jesus on behalf of every human being;

it is declaring the wisdom of God. For the Gospel to have
its salvific effect in your heart and mind, to transform you,
you need to embrace the wisdom of God and unlearn your
supposed wisdom.
In Paul’s presentation of ministry, he explains the wisdom
of God in the various contexts of belief systems in this
world. He gives the gold standard of the wisdom of God. A
gold standard is the mode by which a thing of superior
quality is considered as the point of reference to determine
the quality of others. It is the testimony of God, who
perceives all humanity through the finality of the Cross (1
Corinthians 2:1-2). A testimony is a statement sustained by
the power of the one stating it. This testimony of God is
sustained by His virility and by His seed, Christ Jesus. The
wisdom by which we live is what God has made Christ to
be unto us. God has established Christ and joined us to Him
and whatever He did in Christ was towards us. Our triumph
is of the Lord; our triumph is in what He made Christ
because what Christ is made is unto you. Jesus is
righteousness and you are righteousness in Him.

Father, I am grateful to know that you acknowledge me as

yours. I have the privilege of acknowledging what you
acknowledge me, of accepting my acceptance, of coming
to terms with what you are already persuaded of me. I thank
you that the Spirit of your Son has given me the assurance,
boldness and confidence of the access that I have in Christ
Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Mind Available to the Holy

Spirit
Since you have been brought back to true life with Christ,
you must look for the things that are in heaven, where
Christ is, sitting at God’s right hand. Practice occupying
your minds with the things above through your fellowship
with Christ…

 Thought for the day.
The key to accessing all that Christ is within you is to bring
your soul through your mind into agreement with the
realities that are present within your spirit.

The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us how to think like

Christ. If we are to walk as He walks, and act as He acts,
we are to first of all think as He thinks. The problem that
every believer faces is that after regeneration, the soul still
possesses the Adamic consciousness and retains the
residue of the fallen, corrupted and satanified nature of
man. This is to say that left to itself the mind is naturally
inclined to unbelief and cannot perceive reality beyond the
basic modes of human perception. The human mind, even
after regeneration, is compatible with the sin nature and
retains the program inherited from the old man who is now
destroyed. It carries a system of self-rule that excludes God
(Eph. 4:20-25). The King James Version of today’s text
introduces what Paul says here with a conditional clause,

using ‘if’. Many who read it thus tend to bear in their minds
that Paul is presenting a condition. Therefore, you may or
may not find yourself in the category of what Paul is talking
about. Christ did not come to demand conditions. He came
to reveal a decisive conclusion that is irreversible and that
the Father made in Him.
Christ is preeminent in all things. If the eyes of our
understanding are open to behold Him in all of His glory, we
will rise above this wicked world’s system to live at His level
(Eph. 1:16-18). This means that if the faith of the believer is
to become effectual and powerful, the soul must be re-
educated and re-connected to Christ (Phile. 1:6). Many
Christians today do not think in terms of a mind
transcendent to the fall. Paul says, since we have been
resurrected with Christ, in Christ and as Christ, let us seek
those things that are above; that are in the sphere that
characterizes Christ. These refer to the things disconnected
from the fall. The indisputable fact of whether you will
dominate or be dominated in your life as a believer is solely
determined by the condition your mind is compatible with
and yields to (Rom. 12:2).
The ascension of Jesus Christ reversed the fall; there is no
longer a fallen world because in the resurrection of Jesus,
He became the preeminent origin of the new creation. The
cosmos was reborn in the resurrection of Christ Jesus. We
are no longer in the fall, so let us seek those things that are
above where Christ is seated, through the knowledge of
Christ and the faith of the Son of God in us. The faith of the
Son of God resides in Christ and He dwells in you
(Galatians 2:20). Your soul needs to come into agreement

with that faith, and is to believe and act accordingly. The

soul is the renewable resource and apparatus that God
created to manifest the faith that is resident in your spirit.
There is a difference between faith and believing. Faith
resides in your regenerated human spirit while believing
occurs in the renewed mind. Faith then is manifested in a
way of thinking called believing. The key to accessing all
that Christ is within you is to bring your soul through your
mind into agreement with the realities that are present
within your spirit. This can only be done through the ministry
of the Holy Spirit in unveiling Christ to you through the Word
of God. It will thus require that you make your mind
available to Him by readjusting your mental disposition.

 Confession of faith

Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you that I have been

raised to Life with Christ Jesus. My heart is set on the great
realities of the heavenly sphere where Christ is seated at
the right hand of God. The faith of the Son of God resides
in Christ and He dwells in me. Through the ministry of the
Holy Spirit unveiling Christ to me, I bring my soul through
my mind into agreement with the realities that are present
within my spirit. As a son of God in Christ Jesus I pray,
Amen.

The Holy Spirit Dwells in You

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.
Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:14
 Thought for the day.
The Holy Spirit Himself has come to us and His ministry is
occupied and exercised by Him within us.

When we speak of the Holy Spirit, we are not referring to an

impersonal force. We are referring to the mystery of the
Godhead explained as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He
is the modesty of God. He seeks to glorify the Son so that
in the Son, the Father may be revealed and known. It is the
ministry of the Holy Spirit to bring into our experience the
inner Life of God. The Holy Spirit our Teacher is the one
who brings to us the revelation of Christ as our Life. The
Apostle Paul describes the Spirit of God as the One who
mediates the inner recesses of God’s being (1 Cor. 2:10 –
11). He attributes to the Spirit the innermost essence of
God. It is by the Holy Spirit that the Father and Son
experience each other as Father and Son.
The receiving of the Holy Spirit by the believer implies that
as the Father knows the Son in the Spirit, and is known by
the Son by that same Spirit, you have been placed in that
interchange of the Father-Son relation. In Christ, you have
received admission into the inner Life of God. The Holy
Spirit is the One who administers the in-Christ actualities in

the realm of experience (1 Jn. 4:13, Jn. 16:12-15). The

Godhead was unknown in their fullness until Christ was
incarnate. The ministry of the Spirit, which we witnessed in
the Old Covenant, is not a detailed revelation. Due to the
sin nature which had corrupted man, we find terminologies
such as ‘the Spirit coming upon’ prophets, priests and kings
(Num. 11:24-29) but we do not find terminologies of
interpenetration such as ‘the Spirit within’ a man. When
Paul begins to explain the pneumatology of this Church
Age, that is, what we should know of the Person of the Holy
Spirit and His ministry, the location of the Spirit is described
as within the believer.
In the Old Testament, every work the Spirit accomplished
amongst men was temporary but now, contrary to that, we
do not have the mere divine influence of the Spirit as the
prophets, priests and kings did in the Old Testament. The
Holy Spirit Himself has come to us and His ministry is
occupied and exercised by Him within us. This is why it is
so crucial that you cultivate a God-inside consciousness
because the Triune Godhead has made you His abode (1
Cor. 6:19-20). You are consecrated, separated unto God,
sanctified with the fullness of all that pertains to the Spirit
the moment you believed. Christ claimed you as His own by
placing His Spirit in you. You are the permanent residence
of God. The Spirit of God came to make your body worthy
of the indwelling of God.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the ministry of the Holy

Spirit in my life. As Teacher, you reveal to me the revelation

of Christ as my Life and bring me into the experience of the

Inner Life of God in me. You have claimed me as your own

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit in This

Church Age
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the
Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it
seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for
he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
John 14:16-17 (KJV)
 Thought for the day.
The Holy Spirit has come to make your will the will of God,
your mind the mind of Christ and your emotions the
emotions of Christ.

In the Old Testament, less than 1% of God’s people were

anointed with the Holy Spirit in the offices of prophet, priest
or king. They were chosen by God to perform specific tasks
on His behalf, so they were endued with the Spirit. This
endowment was an enablement; they were temporarily
enabled with the ability of God. But, this was the Old
Testament. When the Lord Jesus Christ came to the earth,
He introduced His disciples to the ministry of the Holy Spirit
in the Church Age. This means there was a new ministry of
the Holy Spirit that was to begin in the Church Age. So
many times, when believers think of the person of the Holy
Spirit, their frame of reference is what He did in the Old
Testament. Meanwhile, in this age, He has come to do
something exceedingly extraordinary than what happened

in the Old Testament. That is why we need to understand

who the person of the Holy Spirit is and what it is the Father
has specifically sent Him to do in us in this Church Age.
During the upper room discourse, on the eve of His
crucifixion, Jesus introduced His disciples to the person
who will be the administrator of the grace of God, which is
the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:1-2). This means, whatever you
will experience of God’s grace is a result of the ministry of
the Holy Spirit. He makes real in you what Christ has done
for you. He translates the revelation and the details of the
gospel into your personal victory. Most often, believers in
Christ want something that is life applicable. But the Apostle
Paul, the one to whom was entrusted the revelation of the
mystery, did not teach things that are life applicable
because what he taught is life in itself. The reason for this
is that it is the person of the Holy Spirit who leads us into
the practical aspects of Christianity. The Lord Jesus Christ
has placed us under the mentorship of the Holy Spirit. The
Holy Spirit is the one who taught Jesus Christ what He knew
and trained Him during His earthly tenure. Jesus Christ
functioned on earth as a man anointed by the Holy Spirit.
Before He left the earth, He introduced His disciples to the
ministry of the Holy Spirit, in a new capacity than what they
had known in the past.
The Holy Spirit is Himself of the same kind as the Lord
Jesus Christ. He is not mere power, as many have thought,
but He is a person. This is important because if you see the
Holy Spirit as some kind of power, you are going to desire
to have more of Him in order to use His power. But if you
see Him as a Person, you will desire for Him to have more

of you so that He can use you for the Father’s purposes.

The Holy Spirit has come to make your will the will of God,
your mind the mind of Christ and your emotions the
emotions of Christ. When you were born again, God did not
put a program in you so that you do just what He wants. The
Father wants sons and not automatons. Through the Holy
Spirit, He gives you the opportunity to reprogram your own
mind so that you can know Him and serve Him.

God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you this

day for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in me. I thank
you for the in-working of your Spirit in me; I rejoice for He
translates the revelation and the details of this gospel into
my personal victory, and makes real in me what Christ has
done for me. Amen.

See Yourself Perfect in Christ

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded:
and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall
reveal even this unto you.
Philippians 3:15
 Thought for the day.
You are perfect in Christ and there is nothing you can do to
change that.

The canon that Paul gave in the Gospel is the point of view
that says in Christ we are perfect. If you do not embrace this
point of view, God Himself is the one who has to reveal to
you the error of your ways because if you are in Christ and
see yourself anything other than perfect, then you are in
error. This canon is a measurement that has ended every
argument. As many as are in Christ Jesus, let them
embrace this point of view that they are perfect. In the
previous verses, the apostle Paul said that he had not
attained. He said that he was not yet perfect but he chose
to forget the things that are behind and press forth to those
things that are ahead (Phil. 3:12-14). He says that he does
not consider himself perfect because of the things that he
had attained. He did not measure his perfection based on
his personal experiences, but he had a mind formed in him
by the Gospel and he espoused and embraced the view
that in Christ He was perfect.
There is a canon, a measurement given in the Gospel. We
are to see ourselves as perfect in Christ. Paul calls on us to

walk by this same rule. The word ‘walk’ is the Greek word
‘stoicheo’, which means ‘to match in a military rank and to
readjust your steps’. So, when you realize that you are
judging yourself, when you feel guilty and condemn
yourself, or whenever you come under any guilt complex,
know that you are not walking according to the rule Paul
spoke about. You need to ‘stoicheo’; you need to pause and
take a step back to think of yourself according to this rule.
As many of us as are perfect, let us embrace this point of
view.
You were reconciled in the body of the flesh of Christ. At
His incarnation, Jesus Christ did not merely become a man;
He became the Man representing all men in Himself. So,
when He died, you died in Him, with Him and as Him. After
His death on the cross, He was resurrected and ascended
into Heaven, and is now in the presence of His Father, in
His glorified body, presenting you as holy, unblameable and
unreprovable (Eph. 1:3-6). We are presented as perfect in
Christ. There is nothing you can do to make it otherwise.
You need to walk by this rule and see yourself perfect in
Christ, completely complete. You have attained His
attainments.

Heavenly Father, thank You for placing me in Christ. By

virtue of my position in Him, I can boldly say of myself what
He says of Himself. I declare that I am perfect in Him,
blameless and unreprovable in the sight of God; prosperous
and whole. AMEN.

The “In Christ” Revelation

“So to the one who is able to strengthen you to live
consistently with my good news and the preaching of
Jesus, the Anointed, with the revelation of the ancient
mystery that has been kept secret since the earliest days”
Romans 16:25 (The Voice)
 Thought for the day.
You look much better in Christ than you do outside of Him.

The Apostle Paul was given by the Lord Jesus Christ the
message that constitutes the Gospel for this Church Age.
The Lord Jesus Christ withheld from giving His most
advanced teachings during His earthly ministry. He carried
away words unuttered with Him when He ascended at the
right hand of the Father (John 16:12).
This message was kept secret from all of the prophets and
holy men of Old. No age of God’s unique dealings with man
even suggest a hint of it.
Christ gave this unique message to Paul who has
conserved it for us in his fourteen epistles.
Paul exclusively employs a series of powerful prepositions
as technical terms to demonstrate our present position. No
words in scripture hold within themselves a deeper mystery.
These words are, “In Christ”.

These two words give us divine insight into God’s method

of salvation. It reveals to us that He finalized His plan for
man. He made His Son everything that He desired us to be
and then placed us in Him!
In Christ simply means that Father God divinely locates you
in a person – Christ. Whatever He is, consequentially you
are, wherever He is, you are and whatever He has, you
equally have for you are in Him. This is the only message
that unfolds to the believer God’s intention today.
What a glorious message it is.

 Confession of Faith

Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, Thank you for unfolding to

me in this age your ultimate intention by placing me in
Christ. You have made me identical with Him by making
Him my only life. May I live this day with the consciousness
of who You have made me in Christ. Amen.

Acknowledge Your In-Christ Realities

In face of all this, what remains for us to say? If God is on
our side, what matters who is against us? He who spared
not His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how can He
but, in giving Him, lavish on us all things – all?
Romans 8:31-32 (Way)
 Thought for the day.
Father God has done for you what He has not done for any
other creature by joining you to Himself.

It is unfortunate that many who profess to be Christians,

who have heard the Gospel, preached and have even seen
the manifestation of the power of God, do not have the
irrefutable experiences of the Gospel in their lives. This is
because they do not understand that there are certain
things that they must know and acknowledge. The first in-
Christ reality you are to acknowledge is that in grace, the
Lord Jesus Christ has given you everything in giving you
Himself. Father God has already given you all. He has
poured forth Himself. He has done for you what He has not
done for any other creature by joining you to Himself. If you
think there is something God is withholding from you, you
will never experience victory. When faced with a situation,
your role is not to convince God of the seriousness of your
problem for Him to intervene. He has already given you
everything in Christ as the gift of His love. Understanding
this is the end of all worries. You will cease to be need-
conscious and will abound in thanksgiving.

We need to acknowledge who God says we are and what

He says we have. This is what faith is. Faith is not acting
out of desperation to get God to act, nor is it an action on
your part followed by an action on God’s part. You do not
confess things to make them happen, but they come to
pass because they are already so. God does not respond
to ‘faith’; He is the initiator and the consummator of your
faith. You are to rest your mind on what He says about you.
When you see who you are in Christ, it does not become so
because you saw it. It was so before you saw it. You just
need to agree with God by speaking His words after Him.
We need to acknowledge our identity with Christ. Jesus
Christ has identified Himself with us through His work on
the cross for us. We are not to see ourselves as sinners
otherwise we would be refusing to identify with Christ
through His work on the cross. When you call yourself sick
or accursed, or say that you need to be delivered, you are
acknowledging someone who is not identified with Christ.
The Holy Spirit has been given to us by the Father in the
Name of the Lord Jesus Christ with a ministry that has very
specific parameters. He only works on earth through what
Christ did from the cross to throne. Unless you identify
yourself with what Christ has done for you through His work
from the cross to the throne, the Holy Spirit cannot
administer anything to you. When Jesus Christ came in His
incarnation, He left His riches and took on your poverty so
that you can take on His riches. He left His wholeness and
took on your sickness so that you can take His wholeness.
He left His righteousness and took your sin so that you can

walk in His righteousness. He left His sonship to take on

your rejection so that you can take on His sonship. He left
the right hand of the Father and became the man of sorrows
so you can become the son at the right hand of the Father.
He who is the blessed Son of the Most High took your curse
so that you can be called the blessed son of the Most High.
When you see what Jesus did on the cross for you, you will
walk in it.

 Confession of Faith

I am loved by the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ,

who is equally my Father. I am who He says I am and I have
what He says I have. Thank you Father for all you have
done for me. I acknowledge that You gave me all things in
giving me Christ. I rejoice in all that Christ accomplished for
me in His vicarious life. I declare that from this day, I walk
in its benefits. Amen.

Qualified For All Things

“I don’t want to hear any of you bragging about yourself or
anyone else. Everything is already yours as a gift -- Paul,
Apollos, Peter, the world, life, death, the present, the
future -- all of it is yours, and you are privileged to be in

The new man in Christ has received an irrevocable
inheritance

Most people will not consider the Corinthians as believers

qualified to receive anything from God. The apostles
informed the believers in Corinth that they were spiritual
babes and even carnal (1Cor. 3:1-3), yet he made a very
pertinent statement concerning them by adding “all things
are yours”. He was categorically stating that as carnal as
they were, God had still given them all things in Christ.
This declaration is not a pledge of what will happen in
eternity. It is rather an affirmation of what has already been
freely granted in Christ. When you were born into the family
of God, all that Christ paid for in His substitutionary sacrifice
automatically became yours. You might not be aware of
what is legally yours but it is up to you to use what belongs
to you in Christ in order to benefit of it.

I have a rather rhetorical question to ask you: does God

have what you need or desire? If He does, then it is already
yours by right of inheritance. It is your responsibility to
appropriate what is yours. Praying or begging for things will
not do it; it will require that you become aware of your
present-hour position and possessions in Christ and live
with the faith that you have already got it.

Don’t Leave Your Blessings Unclaimed

Don’t just count your blessings, make your blessings count.

There are two different words in the Greek New Testament

that are translated as blessing. The first is the word eulogia
which literally means to be worthy of all praise and
glorification. It means that God has transferred to the
believer His own state of wellbeing by speaking over him
words invested with the power to make one excel and
prosper.
The Holy Spirit himself has conferred to every saint, all the
blessings that Heaven itself enjoys (Eph 1:3). The second
word translated as blessing is makarios. It is derived from
the root word makar which means to be exceedingly joyful.
It alludes to inheriting the blessing of God. In biblical times,
the word was attributed as a title to describe the aristocracy
in the upper echelons of society who did not have to face
the lack or deficiency of the common people. They were
considered by all men to be makarios for they were in a
fortunate and enviable state.

There is a song that says “count your blessings one by one,

and you will see what the Lord has done”. There is problem
with that. God’s blessings are innumerable! What you
should do is consider yourself as blessed and make your
blessings count today. Acknowledge the irrefutable truth
that as a believer in Christ, you have superlative happiness.
You are the envy of angels and have been destined to live
in a time when the mysteries God hid in Himself have been
revealed to man. Make your blessings count today by
acknowledging that you are blessed. Adopt an attitude that
considers oneself to be fortunate and enviable, for that is
exactly what you are.

Precious Father, Thank you for speaking your words of

wellbeing and praise worthiness over me. Today I consider

 Thought for the day.

Every good gift, every perfect gift has been given in the Son
Jesus Christ.

As a believer in Christ Jesus, you are being enriched in all

things. You are in a continual state of infilling with the
resources that exceed every need. Paul says that not only
will God continue to keep you in a state of being enriched
so that you grow richer and richer, in all bountifulness, in
every jurisdiction, but these resources will cause
thanksgiving to God through you. You are not only going to
thank God, but how you utilize these unsearchable riches
will cause everyone who meets you to thank God because
of you.
God desires to give you wealth that is completely beyond
anything you can ever imagine. When Paul said to the
church in Corinth that ‘God is able to make all grace to
abound to you’, he was teaching them on the benefits of
being a cheerful giver and what was to follow as a result (2
Corinthians 9:4). The word ‘abound’ is translated from the
Greek word 'perisseuo', which means ‘to make someone
rich, even to be extremely rich’. God possesses the ability

to force all His grace to make the one who is a cheerful giver
to the work of ministry rich and extremely wealthy so that
everywhere they go, the effect of grace will be so evident
that it will produce a response to grace.
The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is the One
who continually supplies all that is given together with His
Son, Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:31-32). There is nothing that has
been withheld from you, nothing has been set aside, and
nothing has been denied. In the Son, the heart of our
Heavenly Father has been made known to us. He is
generous; He is liberal in giving to us. Every good gift, every
perfect gift has been given in the Son Jesus Christ (James
1:5; 17-18). He will continually preserve you in every sphere
of your life, physically, mentally, socially, and financially. He
will keep you so that there will be nothing wanting, so you
will abound in everything with all bountifulness and men will
offer thanksgiving unto God because of you.

I thank you Father for your Son, my Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ, the One in whom we have received the adoption of
sons, the One in whom we share fellowship and in whom
we participate as our one and only life. Christ is the One in
whom I am saved and have all things today. Thank you for

Always Having All

by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you
in Christ Jesus.

 Thought for the day.
Your identity gives you access to your inheritance.

The term ‘in Christ’ is a consummate declaration; there is

nothing excluded from it because in the one person of
Jesus Christ is all of God and all of man (2 Cor. 5:19). As a
saint in Christ, you are consummate in Him and by
implication there is nothing that could be added to you in
this position that could improve you because you are
already perfect. It is an irrevocable placement. Nothing can
dissolve the oneness that Christ Himself has forged through
His incarnation, crucifixion, death, burial, quickening,
raising and seating. To claim that union with Christ can be
dissolved, you will first have to undo the seating of Christ at
the Father’s right hand, undo His ascension, undo His
resurrection, undo His burial, undo His death, undo the
crucifixion and undo the incarnation. In other words, to
dissolve your oneness with Christ is undoable.
The believer is safe and secure in Christ because salvation
is eternal. Salvation is eternal because of the one whose
work it is and the nature of that work is not external to Him
but it is within Him. We are saved in the being of Christ (1
Jn. 5:20). That is the meaning of the term ‘resurrection’; we

were regenerated in the humanity of Christ that emerged

from the empty tomb on the third day. That nature which is
joined to the eternal Godhead makes salvation eternal
itself. All that we are is in Christ. All of the gifts of God bear
the title of Christ because Jesus Christ the incorruptible
seed birthed us. We have been called conformed to the
firstborn. You therefore cannot be contrary to Christ (Rom.
8:29, 1 Pet. 1:23).
In Christ means total everything. We always have all. The
believer who is ignorant of His in-Christ position will equally
be unaware of the possessions that this position grants him.
You have no unmet needs. To claim to have unmet needs
is to accuse Jesus in His office as Savior as being inept. It
is to claim He left His work undone. What you may currently
be experiencing in your reality is what you have acquired as
the knowledge of God. What you acknowledge is what you
encounter as your experience. The Apostle Paul gave
Philemon an in-Christ reality. The word ‘communication’ in
our verse of focus is translated from the Greek term
‘koinonia’, which means the receiving of God’s giving. In the
work of Christ within His person, He is the giver and you are
made a recipient of what He has fulfilled in Himself. That is
what is known as communication. It refers to the exchange
between the giver and the recipient. The Gospel of Christ
does not demand faith. It supplies it. The term ‘effectual’ is
'energema' and it refers to something that is always
working; in other words, it is effective in experiences.
Therefore, Paul was saying that the receiving of the giving
of Christ in your faith should be made experiential. What
Christ has wrought for each believer is already true,
whether they acknowledge it or not. But, it may not be made

evident in their lives. For example, there are many believers

who have not yet experienced speaking in other tongues
although the Holy Spirit resides in them and they have
received all of the grace gifts of the Holy Spirit. The believer
in Christ is an heir of God and joint-heir with Christ Jesus,
but you still can live in lack. It is not an issue of what the
Lord has yet to do. All that is in Christ is already given but
is in a stationary state. All that is categorized as grace finds
expression in our lives by the acknowledging of every good
thing, every benefit, every endowment, every gift, which is
in you in Christ Jesus (Phile. 1:6). You need to have the
accurate knowledge of every good thing in you in Christ
Jesus. You always have all!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of your Son Jesus
Christ by whom we have freely received all things. I am
enriched in all things, always have all things because I am
a joint heir with Christ Jesus. All that belongs to Christ
belongs to me as well. As a son in Christ I pray, Amen.

The Supernatural Resources

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no

 Thought for the day.
It is the blessing of the Lord that causes the overflow of
resources in your life.

The value of a thing is not dependent on the thing itself, but

on the quality of joy it brings into your life. Joy that comes
from anything that is external does not last. Until what you
have is converted in the plan of God, you could live a life
that is void of joy. The joy that lasts no matter your
circumstance cannot be experienced apart from the plan of
God. Riches come from the blessing of the Lord. It does not
come from what you may spend day and night working for.
It does not come from anything you can build by your own
strength. It is the blessing of the Lord that causes the
overflow of resources in your life. Once you realize this, you
will cease from living a stressful life, with the opinion that
you need to do something in order to succeed. Having such
a mind-set will only rob you of everything that pertains to
your life. It is freedom to understand that it is the blessing
that makes one rich. A life with this understanding is a life
free from stress, sickness and disappointment. It is a
victorious life!

The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds

no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]. The
Father adds nothing sorrowful to what the blessing has
brought into your life. He upholds, He backs up that which
you have understood and believed about the blessing.
God’s blessings are not given according to our merit and
qualifications. But our righteous status in Christ qualifies us
for the blessing. Once you begin to rely on the blessing, you
will cease from your own works.
The word term ‘blessing’ comes from three Greek words:
Tsalech: It is the power that resides in the Word of God to
break out mightily, to push forward, to be made profitable
despite the obstacles, to propel you far beyond your
limitations. There is nothing you can do that can make you
profitable despite the obstacles, or that can propel you far
beyond your limitations. As the children of God, we should
have a greater conviction that does not depend on anything
external, but on God’s investment within us. God has given
you His all-sufficient grace (2 Corinthians 9:8). Only His
grace in you has the power to propel you. Trade your self-
sufficiency for the all-sufficiency of God.
Sakel: It is the wisdom to deal intelligently (1 Cor. 3:10). It
is wisdom needed to accomplish something constructive.
That which is constructive and can stand the test of time is
derived from the plan of God. You acquire experience and
skills in the things of God when the knowledge you have of
Him can be converted into understanding, through the
operation of His wisdom in you. Wisdom only comes from
your knowledge of God. It entails knowing who God is and
how He functions.

Shalah: (Philippians 4:12): This is an attitude of life that

brings forth a state of happiness. It is contentment in Christ.
It speaks of an attitude that does not allow anything external
to affect our inner man. It does not vary, no matter the
circumstance we encounter.
As a saint in Christ Jesus, you have received these three
forms of blessings in your life. Learn to rely on God’s
investments in you.

Take No Thought
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or,

things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto
you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the
morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient
unto the day is the evil thereof.”

 Thought for the day.
The secret to living in the supernatural is living in the NOW.

Most believers are always worrying about the future; what

to wear, what to eat. This is a very important issue in the
Christian’s life. So important that it was the first sermon of
Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry. In this teaching, He
admonishes believers to take no thought about these things
that the Gentiles seek. What do the Gentiles seek? What
are they seeking for right now? Why are they not coming
to Church? They are too busy looking for money; money to
buy a new car, to build a new house, buy new clothes, new
jewellery, etc.
Jesus said the things that the Gentiles seek, your Heavenly
Father knows that you need them. That tells me that my
Heavenly Father is not against the fact that the Church, His
family, should possess the things that the Gentiles are

looking for. Jesus said what the Gentiles seek, your Father
knows that you need them. He does not call it a want; He
does not call it a luxury. The Lord Jesus Christ says you
need it.
But it does not work by going after the things like the
Gentiles do. Take not thought. How do you take a thought?
He says ‘Take no thought by saying.’ Therefore, you take a
thought by giving voice to it. You are not under obligation to
give voice to the doubt. He goes on to say tomorrow has its
own troubles. That does not mean that as you move into
tomorrow there are problems in tomorrow.
He said as you become preoccupied on tomorrow, there are
problems in the preoccupation of tomorrow that you are
going to take by saying. So do not take the thoughts of
anxiety about tomorrow, because the moment you begin to
relate with tomorrow, the only thing you are going to see
about tomorrow are the needs and the pressures of the
future. He is not telling you to expect problems tomorrow
but that while you live in the now, live in the now with the
awareness that tomorrow is already taken care of. By the
way, the things that the Gentiles seek, your Father knows
that you need them.
So stop projecting into tomorrow on how those things are
going to come. All that is going to come out of such
projection are problems that you would want to take by
saying. Live in each moment of Now and you will realise
that the things the Gentiles did seek were seeking for you.
Either you believe that God is all-powerful or you don’t.

Either you believe that the silver and the gold belong to Him
or they don’t. There is absolutely no benefit in you worrying.
Every supply comes as it is needed in the now. I am giving
you a secret to the supernatural and in a nutshell, this is it:
live in the now. Many times believers are under the
impression that they are not blessed because they want to
claim to live beyond the now. But if you look at the now and
you look at your life and you look at who you are and what
you have in the now, you will realise that you are blessed,
you have been increased, you have been expanded, now.
Your prosperity is directly linked to your psychology. You
need to reset your mindset into the ‘I Am’ consciousness,
the consciousness of now; not tomorrow. Tomorrow will
always be tomorrow. The Gospel is the Gospel of Now. The
things you have been expecting and thinking God is yet to
do are already yours NOW.

Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for the Gospel

of the NOW. I declare that I shall take no thought about
tomorrow for I know it is already taken care of. I shall not
worry about what the Gentiles seek for I know my Father

No Worries!

add even an hour to his life by worrying?”

 Thought for the Day
Worrying is refusing to believe that the Father affectionately
cares for you.

The outward state of your life is the reflection of the inward

state of your mind. Your mind was created in its original
design to operate according to your persuasion of the
quality of knowledge you invest into it. Whatever you are
persuaded of as being real will influence the state of your
mind, and that eventually generates the experiences of your
life. Why is this so crucial and how does it relate to worry?
Worrying is an inverse operation of meditation. It is focusing
on the negative aspects of life through the perception of a
corrupted human rationale.
Modern medical research has proven the effects that the
state of the mind exerts over the health of the body. The
term that has been coined to describe this is
“psychosomatic”. It is now a medical fact that worry breaks
down resistance to disease by weakening the immune
system. It equally harms the nervous system, particularly
that of then digestive system and of the heart. Thought
patterns of worry trigger stress and phobias which
negatively affect blood pressure and create insulin

resistance leading to cardiovascular complications, as well

as sugar diabetes.
An examination of 500 patients in a clinic revealed that
more than one-third of all their visual problems were caused
by emotional tensions. A survey was done with 500
university students by a clinic in the United States and it
showed that “worriers” were in all cases amongst the lowest
in grades.
The word “worry” derives its origin from an ancient Anglo-
Saxon word which means “to choke slowly with the noose
of a rope until death.” Worry is a silent killer that will choke
the joy out of your life. The proven antidote for worry is
absolute confidence in God which is a choice only you can
make. You must consciously make a quality decision that
you will trust what God has revealed in His word concerning
you.
In time, your feelings will catch up with your choice and
worry will give way to calm. All the water in the world, no
matter how hard it tries, could never sink a ship unless it
gets inside. All the pressures of this world may try to wear
you out but they cannot hurt you to the least unless you led
them in through worry.

Heavenly Father, Today I make a conscious decision to

trust you in every situation, no matter what I see or how I
may feel. I refuse to accommodate worry into my heart and
I make the choice to rejoice in you with absolute confidence,

Do Not Worry!
What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be
so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s
giving. People who don’t know God and the way He works
fuss over things, but you know both God and how He
works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-
provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all
your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your
entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t
get worked up about what may or may not happen
tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard
things come up when the time comes.

If you look at who you are and what you have in the Now,
you will realize that you are blessed.

So many of God’s children worry about the future. They

worry about shelter, about what to wear and what to eat.
The subject of worry is a very important issue in a
Christian’s life, so important that it was the first sermon of
Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry. Jesus admonishes us
to take no thought about these things that the Gentiles
seek, the things that they who do not know God fuss over.
What do the Gentiles seek? Why do they not come to
Church? They are too busy looking for money; they are
preoccupied with getting a new car, building a new house,
getting new clothes and accessories, etc. Jesus says that
our Heavenly Father knows that we need these things. This

reveals that Heavenly Father is not against the fact that the
Church, His family, should possess the things that the
Gentiles seek. He knows that we need them.
However, the Lord Jesus Christ explains how it works. It
does not work by us going after the things like the Gentiles
do. He says we should not worry. Do not give voice to
thoughts of doubt and anxiety. God is vehemently against
worry because His power in us is wielded by our minds, by
what we think. Christ is in you with all of His power and this
power is deployed according to what we ask or think (Eph.
3:20). What you hold in your thoughts is what will deploy the
power of God after you have asked in prayer. Do not take
thoughts of anxiety about tomorrow, because the moment
you begin to relate with tomorrow, all what you will see
about tomorrow are the needs and the pressures of the
future. Live in the Now and while you live in the Now, be
conscious that tomorrow is already taken care of. Stop
being worried about tomorrow, thinking how things are
going to happen or how you will get the things you need. All
that can come out of such projections are problems that
would make you worry. Live in each moment of the Now
and you will realize that the things the Gentiles seek will be
seeking for you and in one Now-moment, you will realize
they have found you, without any point of transition.
The Earth is the Lord’s and its fullness thereof. Either you
believe that the silver and the gold belong to God or they do
not. There is absolutely no benefit in you worrying. Every
supply comes as it is needed in the Now. This is a secret to
the supernatural. You will be under the impression that you
are not blessed if you want to live beyond the Now. If you

look at who you are and what you have in the Now, you will
realize that you are blessed. Your prosperity is directly

God’s Top Priority for You

“My beloved friend, it is my prayer that above all things
you might continue to be financially prosperous and
remain in good health just as your soul continues to

God’s top priority for you is total life prosperity.

In Apostle John’s epistle to his friend and co-labourer,

Gaius, he reveals to us that which is God’s top priority for
the saints of Jesus Christ. He expressed his uttermost
desire in a prayer for the beloved to experience consistent,
unceasing, total-life prosperity and health. It is God’s
absolute will for everything to go well with you, that you may
experience prosperity in every sphere of your life as well as
health and soundness.
It is quite astonishing that many would not consider all-
inclusive prosperity as God’s top priority for the Church. For
long, even those who have believed in prosperity have
viewed it as a benefit included with their initial regeneration.
John the beloved, who at the time of the writing of this
epistle was the only surviving apostle who had been
originally ordained by Jesus Himself discloses to us that
prosperity is God’s top priority for the Church. God wants

God-given assignments. Prosperity is desirable; wealth is a

wonderful power that can be used as an instrument in the
hands of those who have matured in their understanding of
the Gospel. The apostle John expresses the wish that every
saint’s material success and earthly career may be as bright
as his spiritual career. He prays that we have a body as
sound as our minds and even our fortunes also.
Prosperity is translated from the Greek word “euodoo”
which is defined as “a successful career, to complete a
journey without any obstructions or obstacles”. Just think of
it. The Father’s top priority for you as His beloved is a life
without limits! He wants you well. The state of your physical
body, financial status and psychological stability are three
indispensable factors that will greatly influence your
effectiveness here on earth, as regards fulfilling your role in
the plan of God. This is why your total wellbeing is so
important to Him.
However, unless your spiritual prosperity deposited in your
soul be at least commensurate with the material prosperity
you possess, the latter ceases to be a blessing. It is for this
reason that your top priority should be the attainment of
spiritual maturity and God will fulfil His.

Blessed Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing to me that

it is your top priority above all things that I may prosper and
be well in every domain of my life, even as my soul prospers

Abounding In Grace
“But even as in everything ye do abound, in faith, and
word, and knowledge, and all diligence, and in your love to
us, that also in this grace ye may abound;”

 Thought for the day.
You abound in the grace of giving once you acknowledge
that you have received all things in Christ Jesus.

It is rather unfortunate to note that the Church of Jesus

Christ today wants to abound in all the aspects of grace but
do not want to come to the front and abound in the grace of
giving. Grace giving is an indispensable aspect in the
believer’s life.
When you fail to abound in the grace of giving it is because
you have not yet acknowledged God as the source of all
things and the one who has freely given you all things.
The Church in Corinth abounded; that is, they excelled in
the domains of faith, inspired utterance, and the ability to
communicate what they had received in knowledge and in
all diligence. They were consistent in their earnestness and
they always declared their love for the Apostle Paul.
However, the Apostle Paul brought out the specific area of
the grace of God wherein they failed to excel and that was
in the grace of giving. Someone may think that it is God’s
responsibility to cause them to advance in this grace, but

God personally holds us responsible for the degree of grace

that we are currently operating in.
You are to ensure that you excel and super-abound in this
grace of giving.
God had materially prospered the Corinthians as He had
prospered few of the early churches. They had a
combination of spiritual and material wealth (1Corinthians
1:5). They had been consistent to a point in some graces
but they had not followed through with grace giving thus
they were still lacking in matters of grace.
God has given the Church today, both spiritual and material
wealth in Christ Jesus. The true essence of grace implies
that God has already provided you with everything and
therefore your response depends entirely on the grace He
has provided for you and not upon your human ability.
He wants you to abound in all things: faith, inspired
utterance, and the ability to communicate what you have
received in knowledge and in all diligence, loving His sent
ones and most especially not neglecting the aspect of grace
giving for in this you super-abound in all other graces.

Giving as a Sacrament
“Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I
commanded the assemblies of Galatia, you do likewise.”

 Thought for the day.
Grace giving reflects personal consecration and is a proof
of sincere agape love.

I came into possession of the Orthodox Bible and when I

read 1Corinthians 16:1 in this version of the Bible, it says:
“Now concerning the Eucharistic collection for the saints...”
The phrase “Eucharistic collection” implies that giving is a
sacrament. It is not an amount of money you put in the
basket at the end of the service. It is a sacrament that is
called ‘Eucharist’, from the Greek word eucharisteo which
means ‘to give thanks in response to grace.’
The Protestant Reformation was not all positive. It did not
only bring positive results to the Church. The sacrament of
giving is one of the sacraments that got lost during the
Reformation, and equally the awareness that God wants us
to prosper. The First Century of the Church called the
offering the Eucharistic collection.
As a child, I grew up in the Roman Catholic Church. I
remember the priest would always say, after the offering
and before communion, “We thank thee oh God for these
gifts which we now present to you in the communion.” And
I would always ask myself the question, what is he talking

about? Now I understand what he was talking about: the

offering is also called the Eucharist because it is our
testimony to God of the value that we esteem of the Gospel.
To God, giving for the right reasons, giving God’s way, is
worship and to withhold worship from God is what is known
as the highest form of rebellion. Your relationship with
money indicates more to God what you believe concerning
your relationship with Him than any other practice in your
life. In other words, what you do with money shows God
whether or not you really believe the Gospel.
Giving is worship. Worship is the demonstration of worth in
terms of devotion. It is a testimony of value.
Worship is not singing in church. For the first 200 years in
the Church there was no singing in church. It was evident
because they were persecuted. They could not start singing
to let everybody know where the Christians were gathered.
They would read a passage and meditate. There was no
singing until after the Edict of Tolerance in 313 A.D. God
said concerning Israel, “These people worship me with their
lips but their hearts are far from me.” That is proof to show
that it is not just singing. Giving for God’s reasons, God’s
way, is what is known as worship.

grateful for coming into the awareness of giving as a
sacrament, as worship and as a testimony of value. I am

The Grace of God Trains us To Be Godly

“For the grace of God has come, giving salvation to all
men, Training us so that, turning away from evil and the
desires of this world, we may be living wisely and uprightly
in the knowledge of God in this present life;”

 Thought for the Day
God did not give you a law to keep, but a life, His Life to
keep you.

Many have accused ministers of the Gospel of grace such

as myself of giving believers a license to sin due to my
affirmation of the Apostle Paul’s stance that the Christian
does not live under the law, that is, the 10 commandments
but under grace which is now the believer’s new nature
(Rom. 6:14; Rom. 10:4).
“If you take the law off of Christians then what is left to
restrain them? Would they not just run off into sin and
selfish living?”
The fact that people even ask this sort of question reveals
the great level of ignorance that widely persists in the body
of Christ regarding the true nature of the gospel of grace.
For the believer in Christ Jesus, regeneration has imparted
into him the genetic imprint of the Heavenly Father.
There is now a new life force inside of you that surpasses
the old external law. Your spirit is now alive to God and has
a new nature; God’s nature! The old inferior way of trying to

be restrained by an external law has being replaced by the

nature of God implanted in the new man. No longer do we
need the law dictating to us what we must or must not do.
Now we have the life force of Christ inside of us and we
have become the vehicles of expression of that life.
Inside your regenerated spirit is all the fullness of God’s love
(Gal. 5:22-23; Rom. 5:5). God is no longer trying to get you
to live up to a certain set of rules, He simply desires that
you get to be yourself, you true self.
The gospel is not a message of how Jesus Christ came to
make people behave better. He did not come to bring more
law into our lives; He came in order to be our one and only
life by exchanging our old fallen nature with His new perfect
nature; a nature empowered by God with all His desires.
This does not mean that you do not encounter temptation
but the appeal is to your mind in your soulish part and not
to your spirit which is perfect and cannot sin (Jas. 1:13-15;
1John 3:9). Your mind is still subject to the frailties of this
fallen world and must be renewed to learn how to be yielded
to the new nature within your spirit (Rom. 12:2; Eph. 4:23-
24).

Father of my spirit, Thank you for the new nature that you
implanted within me at my regeneration. You have
engendered me of your own life by your incorruptible seed.
I no longer live under the dictates of an old external law but
according to the divine nature that now dwells within me.

Projecting your True Identity.

“I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST, so it is no
longer I who am living, but it is Christ who is living in me;
and the life I am now living in the flesh, I am living in faith
of the Son God who loved me and gave himself up for
me.”

 Thought for the day.
The crucifixion of Christ must define what you call ‘I’.

There is a sad distortion of the Gospel which has been

propagated in the Church today. Terms such as crucifixion,
death, burial, quickening, raising and seating are being
mentioned, but it is not the Gospel. This sad distortion of
the Gospel, which I have called the gospel of external
relations, causes us to view what Christ did as somehow
separate from His person. This means everything that
Christ did is in its potential form and we have to somehow
activate it and set it in motion. This also implies that Christ
and His benefits are separate one from another; it would
mean He did His part and it is now time for us to do ours.
Such a notion negates the fact that Christ came through His
incarnation in order to stand in your place, and replace you
as your sacrifice and representative.
As a believer in Christ Jesus, you do not have any part to
play because He is your part as well as God’s part. It is for
this reason that He is our Mediator; the God-man. In His
Person is the indissoluble union of God and Man. That

which Jesus did is not in a potential form waiting for us to

accept it before it becomes real to us. Christ could not take
your sin apart from you. When He was on the cross, you
were in Him. Through His incarnation, He became the Man
Christ Jesus representing all men in Himself. When He
died, it was all humanity that died with Him, in Him and as
Him. At the cross, He became who you are in order to make
you what He is. This would imply that you do not have a part
to play in order to experience this life in Christ because
Christ is your part. Listening to the Gospel is no longer you
wanting to see that which God has said concerning you but
to see who Christ is in you, with you and as you. He wants
you to lose yourself in Christ and not find yourself in Him
because you have been hidden with Christ in God.
Hidden with Christ in God means you are un-revealed,
unseen, concealed, not accessible to view; secret. To the
Father, the one who is revealed and the one who is seen,
the one who is disclosed is Christ. When Paul says “It is no
longer I who lives but Christ,” he is not linking the statement
to moralistic self-emptying. God is not trying to do
something in your life; He is your life. Paul uses the term ‘I’
in this verse to instruct us in the ‘I’ principle which is
redefined according to the Gospel. When he refers to being
crucified, he uses something in the Greek called the aorist
tense, which speaks of an action in the past that extends
into the present and its influence will remain intact forever.
‘I am crucified with Christ’ therefore means ‘I was crucified,
the effect of that crucifixion continues in the present and will
forever be intact.’ When Paul says ‘I am crucified with
Christ’, he did not do anything to be crucified with Him, in
Him and as Him; he did not come to this place; it is this

place that came to him. There is an ‘I’ that was crucified,

nevertheless there is an ‘I’ that lives but that ‘I’ is ‘yet not I.’
Paul says there was an ‘I’ and this ‘I’ which he called himself
was crucified with Christ. There is nothing like an
independent self; man was created to operate through
dependence on God. There is a self-life which Paul calls ‘I’.
It is the perception you have of yourself; the awareness you
have about yourself and what you relate with at a personal
level. If the crucifixion of Christ has not yet changed what
you call ‘I’, you have not yet known the gospel. The
crucifixion of Christ must define what you call ‘I’. The ‘I’
which you used to perceive yourself to be no longer exists.
Christ has become your all; you are hidden with Christ in
God. Allow the gospel to redefine what you think about
yourself.

Father of spirits, I thank you for the work Jesus Christ

accomplished on the cross for me, with me and as me. This
day I choose to allow the Gospel to define to me the new
me that I have become in Christ. I acknowledge that at the
cross, Jesus did not only die for my sin, but He became my
sin. He became my poverty, sickness and disease, that I
might live His life of prosperity, divine health and divine life.
Thank you for this new life that I now have in Christ, which
is no longer ‘I’ but the life of Christ in me, with me, and as
me in the name of Jesus, AMEN.

You Died In His Death

“Because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being
once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no
longer has power over Him.”
Romans 6:9 (AMP)
 Thought for the day.
Christ died your death: death no longer has dominion over
you but the life you now live is the life of the resurrected
Christ in you.

Most of the time the crucifixion of Jesus has been viewed

as that Jesus was killed and three days later He came back
to life. Jesus did not come back to life; He was not
resuscitated. In the Old Testament, people were
resuscitated; they were dead and brought back to life. For
example, Elijah raised the widow’s son and brought him
back to life but he died again; even in the case of Lazarus,
the Lord Jesus Christ resuscitated him but he died again.
But when Christ was raised on the third day, in fulfilment to
the Scriptures, He was not resuscitated; He was not raised
back to life, it was not a reanimation .He did not come back
to life, He was “ex-anastasin”; this means ‘He came from
death never to return to the condition He came out of’.
When He came out of this condition, He was resurrected
with all men. That is why Paul says being raised from the
dead, death no longer has dominion over Him.
Since we have been raised with Christ, we have been ex-
anastasin with Him; we have been taken out of death with

Him, never to return to that condition. Just as death no

longer has dominion over Christ, the person who
recognises their death with Christ will no longer have death
to rule over them any longer because this same Christ has
become their life. He is now living in His resurrected life in
you, with you and as you.
Christ who now quickens and vivifies the faithful by His
Spirit, breathes His own life into by you His resurrection
power. He was freed from the domain of death when He
arose and by virtue of the same sovereignty He now frees
you from the power of death. This is your certainty of life
and immortality.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the resurrection life of

Christ in me, with me and as me. Christ has become my life;
therefore death no longer has dominion over me in the
name of Jesus, Amen.

Your Indissoluble Union with Christ.

“And he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit;”

You have been united with God in Christ.

Anything less than the true, real and personal union of

Jesus Christ with the human race is unworthy to be called
salvation. The essence of this union is described in the
phrase “I am because you are”. The Gospel reveals to us
that Jesus came to give us Himself and by so doing, uniting
Himself to us. It is through this vital union that we share in
God’s life by partaking of all that Christ is.
Our union with Christ is the same as Christ’s union with the
Father. This means that we have been immersed and
intertwined in the Trinitarian life of God. You are one with
the trinity and woven forever in Him; John 14:20 - “At that
day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and
I in you.”
Our rights and privileges are inalienable and irrevocable.
Our union with the Lord Jesus has given us joined heirship
with Him whereby we share an equal position and equal
possession with Him. There is absolutely nothing that can
alter or change this oneness that we have with Him. What
a glorious privilege! What a glorious Gospel! You are not an
ordinary person doing extraordinary things for God. Simply
put, you are extraordinary all the way.

The Real You

“But let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden
person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading
charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious
or wrought up, but] is very precious in the sight of God.”

 Thought for the day.
As you learn to live from the inside, the supernatural
character of Jesus Christ within you will emerge and gain
dominance in your life.

Apostle Peter describes the real you as the ‘hidden man of

the heart’. By this phrase he refers to the invisible and
immaterial spirit of man as hidden from the physical senses.
The implication of this definition is that the regenerated
spirit cannot be assessed by any other means than the
revelation of the Gospel for it is concealed from the optical
eyes.
When Paul said in 2Corinthians 5:16 that we regard no one
according to the flesh, it includes you. You are not to relate
with yourself by mere human standards for you are
essentially spirit, joined together with Christ in an
inseparable union (1Cor. 6:17). The reality of who you are
cannot be mentally assimilated by your own mental
processes or by your own thinking. You are who God says
you are. You are more than you know and what you see is
not all that there is. The quality of your spirit is described as
being incorruptible and very costly in the sight of God. This

means that God is totally and completely satisfied with the

new nature He placed in you. It is secret and invisible. Your
inestimable value in the eyes of God far surpasses all the

diminish. As you learn to live from the inside, the
supernatural character of Jesus Christ within you will
emerge and gain dominance in your life.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for placing your nature in my

human spirit. May I continually live the life that is valuable

The Power of Identity

“Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has asked
excessively that [all of] you be given up to him [out of the
power and keeping of God], that he might sift [all of] you
like grain, But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that
your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have
turned again, strengthen and establish your brethren.”
Luke 22:31-32 (AMP)
 Thought for the day.
There is a ‘you’ inside of you which is the real you.

The Lord Jesus Christ in this verse of Scripture made a very

powerful statement to Peter to speak to us about the power
of our identity. Many Christians in the Church today attach
themselves to a mistaken identity. In Matthew 16, the Lord
Jesus Christ took His disciples to Caesarea Philippi, a
Gentile colony which was dedicated to Caesar. Jesus
brought them to this territory and asked them the question
‘who do men say that I am?’ They gave responses like,
“Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and
others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.” So many
believers do not possess the personal revelation of the Lord
Jesus Christ. They only know what someone else has said
about Him. Jesus heard their responses and asked them
the question, ‘but who do you say that I am?’ These
disciples had been following Him for several years but they
did not know Him. This is so true of the Church even today.
They know the Christ of history but they do not know that

that Christ of history is the Christ of experience. He is the

same yesterday, today and forever. Simon responded to
Jesus’ question saying, ‘thou art the Christ, the Son of the
Living God.’ When Peter saw who Christ was, he said ‘thou
art the Christ’ and Christ tells him “thou art Peter.”
When we see who Christ is, we will see who we are
because He made us what He is. Christ is the rock; the
revelation of who He is, is the rock and Peter is ‘Petros’, the
rock upon the rock. When he received the revelation of
Christ, he took upon himself the nature of Christ. In Matthew
16, Jesus changed the name of Simon which means 'a reed
planted in a marshy, muddy environment.' A reed can be
blown by the wind; it can be uprooted, it does not possess
any form of stability. Christ changed the name ‘Simon’ to
‘Petros’ which means 'a rock.' Most believers have received
their identity from what their parents have told them about
themselves and what circumstances of life have defined
their lives to be. There must be a detachment from all these
mistaken identities before who we are in Christ can fully
emerge. You cannot be simultaneously who you are in
Christ and who you are in yourself. You need to decide who
you want to express.
There is a Simon and there is a Peter. There is a name that
Christ has given us, but then there is a name that we have
carried our whole life. What you think you are might be a
low esteem of yourself or an over estimated notion of
yourself. The ‘Simon’ is causing the ‘Peter’ not to be seen.
‘Simon’ has no use to God. God can only use Peter. He
does not use what He does not name because whatever
God names is His own. God is interested in you manifesting

who you are in Christ. This is where the sifting process

comes in. God wants you to be detached from Simon
because there is a ‘you’ in the inside of you which is the real
you; which is the ‘Peter’ and not the ‘Simon’; it is the apostle
and not the fisherman. You need to stop considering your
former identity for the ‘you’ who God says you are to rise. If
you have been apprehended by the purpose of our Father,
there will come a point in your life when God will bring you
into a detachment process, to detach ‘Simon’ from ‘Peter’
so that you will let go of what you thought you were and
manifest what you really are. You are who God says y are.

Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, today I present myself

knowing that there is a name by which you have called me.
Father, detach me from every false identity, every false
security every “Simon” by which I still call myself. I let go of
every ordinary “Simon- life” that the name that you have
called me might fully emerge, in the name of Jesus, AMEN.

Do You Know True Love?

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not;
charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not
behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily
provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but
rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all
things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never
faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there
be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”1Corinthians 13:4-8

Jesus Christ is the only definition of true love.

Love means many things to many people but to God, love

is not chemistry. It is not something that happens in the heat
of the moment. It is a supernatural endowment of the divine.
Love is the very expression of God. Throughout the ages,
the greatest minds have asked ‘what is true love?’
Unfortunately the English language only possesses one
word to describe the experience of love. Therefore whether
we love chocolate or love God or love our brother, sister, or
spouse all these heart expressions are defined as love.
The ancient Greeks however were so intent in defining the
essence of love that they developed four different words to
define four different kinds of love.
The first category is ‘phileo’ which is a natural kind of love
that bonds with emotions. This love is motivated by mutual

interests and benefits. ‘Phileo’ says ‘I love you as long as

you love me’. This kind of love is the basis of friendships.
One of the reasons why many friendships do not last is
because of the expectation to reciprocate everything the
other friend does for them.
The second category of love is ‘eros’. It is the physical love
that inflames passions and sensual desires. It creates a
longing within the person in whom it is enkindled. 'Eros' love
says ‘I love the way you make me feel’. This is a lower form
of human love that focuses on looks, colours, shapes and
sizes. Unfortunately this is the only kind of love that majority
in our generation know. The love of sports, entertainment,
the obsessions with one’s looks, sex, divisions and so much
more fall into this category.
The third category of love is ‘storge’. It is the love that is
drawn from the statement ‘blood is thicker than water’. It is
the natural affection of family that creates a sense of
belonging. ‘Storge’ says ‘I love you because you are mine’.
The highest kind of love is not human in nature. The writers
of the Greek language coined an entirely new word to
describe this category of love. Prior to its introduction
through the incarnation of Christ, there was no word that
could properly capture and express the true love nature of
God. This is 'Agape' love. It is a divine, unconditional love
that literally means ‘to completely give yourself over to
someone’. 'Agape' says ‘I love you’. This kind of love
withholds absolutely nothing in being demonstrated
towards its object; it does not expect anything in return.
Only God possesses this kind of love; in reality, He is this
kind of love. This 'Agape' love is not just an aspect of His

character; it is the essence of His person. Now that Christ

dwells in you, you are a possessor of 'Agape' love. Allow
Him to influence you in demonstrating true love to someone
today.

Father of glory, I thank you for the great love you have
demonstrated to me in Christ. Thank you because you have
completely given yourself over to me without expecting
anything in return. I love being loved by you gracious

The Rescue of the Human Race

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that
He [even] gave up His only begotten ( unique) Son, so that
whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him
shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have
eternal (everlasting) life.”
John 3:16 (AMP)
 Thought for the day.
God has included the whole world in the relationship He has
with the Son by giving us Jesus.

The phrase ‘God so loved the world’ reveals the intensity

with which God loved the world. The love of our Father is
an all-inclusive love. He includes everyone in His love and
excludes no one. In this light, what does the phrase
“believeth in Him” here refer to in connection to believing in
Jesus? I submit to you that it does not merely refer to
placing one’s trust in the Lord Jesus as it is commonly
acknowledged in evangelical circles. It is something far
more astonishing. It is believing that the Father so loved you
that He included you in the unbroken fellowship that He has
with His Son Jesus. When you believe this, that the Father
has unconditionally loved you and has included you in the
living communion He shares with His Son, you will
experience the imperishable life.
The Love of the Father has given us a relationship like none
you have ever experience. Whosoever believes that the
Father has so loved Him as to include him in the relationship

that He the Father has with the Son by giving him Jesus,
shall not know decay, deficiency, lack or poverty but
everlasting life. The word used to describe this love was
seldom used in the classical Greek until the Gospel arrived.
The word is ‘agape’ which describes someone who has
unconditionally and completely given himself over to
someone else. It was used in classical Greek to describe a
person who had given himself over to an opinion and could
not be persuaded otherwise. If a man could not be swayed
from a particular opinion, it would be said that he has
‘agaped’ himself to such a notion. Our Father has
unconditionally and completely given Himself to His
astonishing opinion about you revealed in Jesus Christ, and
there is absolutely nothing that can sway Him from what He
believes about you’

Gracious Father, Thank you for your astonishing opinion

concerning me in Christ Jesus. I recognise the
unconditional love you have given me by placing me in the
unbroken fellowship that exists between you and your Son

His Unconditional Acceptance

“But God commends his own love toward us, in that while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”.

 Thought for the day
There is nothing that will cause God to love you less
because the essence of ‘agape’ is something called
acceptance.

It is hard for us to imagine on a human level something

which exists without conditions. The Gospel is the
revelation of God’s absoluteness. Jesus Christ + nothing =
everything. This is very hard to embrace. Most people want
to know their part; they want to know what they must bring
in contribution to what God has already done. We are
simply called to enjoy the show; there is nothing, absolutely
nothing we are able to add to the finished work of Christ for
it is already complete and perfect. If there was something
we could actually bring in contribution, Grace would cease
to be Grace. This cannot be understood unless this
unconditional love of the Father in Christ Jesus becomes
the dominant influence of your life in the Gospel.
Paul tells us that while we were yet enemies, we were loved
by the Father. When we did not search for Him, He came
after us until He found us. Even before we were quickened
to the realities of the Gospel, He loved us; He did not give
up His opinion by which He was persuaded of us. Prior to
your belief in Him, He already believed in you; He had

already accepted you, prior to you having faith in Him. His

opinion about you is never going to change no matter what
you do, or how many times you fail; you remain His beloved
in Christ Jesus. You are included in His family because He
has given himself completely and unconditionally to you.
This is what it means to understand the Father’s
unconditional love; love without conditions.
For many, the love of the Father is something they might be
aware of but it does not influence their lives. To many, they
simply know the Father loves them and that is how far it
goes. The Father loves you because He loves you. It is hard
to describe in human terms something which is granted
without conditions, not to speak of love. God does not love
us because we obey Him. There is nothing you can do to
cause God to love you more than He already does. There
is nothing that will cause God to love you less because the
essence of 'agape' is something called acceptance. The
Father has accepted you. In accepting you, He accepted
you the way you are.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your acceptance of me.

Thank you because you love me the way I am. This day, I
acknowledge that unconditional love you have for me which
has made me all that you are and given me all that is yours

Walking In Predestination
“For of Him we are workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
to good works, which God did before prepare, that in them
we may walk.”

 Thought for the day.
God is perfect and a perfect God can only devise a perfect
plan.

After a man experiences regeneration, his heart has now

been fashioned by God for something more than the
ordinary. When you are fathered by God and born from
above, you will be dissatisfied if your life takes an ordinary,
natural course. Unfortunately, many believers are living a
natural destiny. Destiny does not refer to fate; it is not “what
will be will be”. What God has ordained for your life will not
come to pass without your active participation. Destiny is
understanding your predestination. You are here on earth
not just for a reason, but you are here because Father God
has foreordained you. Unless you understand this, your life
will take a natural course.
A natural destiny refers to a life lived according to the flow
of circumstances; born in a particular city, to an
underprivileged family, went to a school were teachers
never showed up and the pupils taught themselves, went to
a secondary school, and so on and so forth. Those who live
for what they can get in a moment do so because they do
not believe that their lives mean something.

Some believers are this way as well. They are born again,
they go to church, ask God for a job and whatever job
comes to them first, they take it. Whatever girl or boy comes
to them first, they accept saying it must be God, because
they were praying. They are just waiting for something to
happen and whatever happens, they take it. How do you
think that at the end of the year you would have successive
progress when you are only waiting for something to
happen? You are waiting for things to present themselves
to you according to the circumstances of your life. There is
no active participation in the firm belief that there is an
invisible element attached to your life because of your pre-
destination. You are not an accident and God will not allow
you to become one. You need to be delivered from the
belief that asks "am I in the will of God?" As long as you are
in this mode, you will be afraid to step forward and do
something.
You need to be delivered from the mind-set that believes
you can make a mistake so powerful that it can annul the
plan of God for your life. You need to stop being afraid of
making mistakes. It is better to make mistakes and be
corrected and eventually find yourself in God’s plan than to
sit down, analyse and do nothing. There are some people
who believe that if you are in the will of God, it has to be
something that you have absolutely no pleasure in;
something that is 100% sacrificial and you benefit nothing
from it. This is definitely erroneous.
What God planned before hand, He planned it for you. You
have to benefit from His plan because it is the safest place

you can be. You may make mistakes but in them, you will
learn how God operates and how He does not. Do not be
afraid to make mistakes. Do not disbelieve your own
integrity to the point that when you want to make a choice,
you have to question over and over again whether it is the
will of God or not. If the motive of your heart is to glorify
God, even if it is a mistake, God will still use it.

Eternal Father, beginning from today, I am going to walk in

my predestination.
Teach me how to believe in the perfection of Jesus Christ
in me. I submit my questionings to learn how to walk by faith
and not by sight. This month, I am not going to be afraid to
make mistakes. My heart desires to glorify you. As I walk by
faith and not by sight, I know that you will use me. Amen

Walking In the Irrefutable Evidences of

the Gospel
 Thought for the day.
The Father gave us all things when He gave us Christ in
grace.

Many Christians who have heard the Gospel preached and

have seen the manifestation of the power of God do not
walk in the evidence and do not have irrefutable experience
of the Gospel. This is because they fail to understand that
there are certain things which they must know and
acknowledge. The first is acknowledging that in grace, the
Lord Jesus Christ has given you everything in giving you
Himself. If you think there is something God is withholding
from you, you will never experience victory. Many
Christians all over the world are persuaded that their role is
to convince God of the seriousness of their problem so that
He can intervene. God the Father has already given you
everything and the things you have been looking for, are
already yours. He is not withholding anything from you.
Grace is not something God gave you independent from
Himself. It is not even a blessing He impacts but it is all that
God is, all that He possesses embodied in the Lord Jesus
Christ and freely bestowed to you as the gift of His love.
When you understand this, worries come to an end. You will

cease to be need-conscious. This understanding

transforms the asking in your prayer to thanksgiving.
Secondly, you need to know that faith is an
acknowledgment of who God says you are.
Faith is not acting out of desperation to get God to act. Many
people think faith is an action on their part so that God will
act on His part. God is the author and the finisher of your
faith. He does not respond to faith, He is the initiator and
the consummator of your faith. Faith is resting your mind in
what He says about you. Your faith is not in faith but in God.
When you confess, you are not confessing so that
something should come to pass. Things come to pass
because they are already so. If you find gold in your
compound, the gold did not become gold when you found
it; it was always gold. When you see who you are in Christ,
it does not become so because you saw it, it was so before
you saw it. Confession is not saying something to change
the situation. Confession means to agree with God by
speaking His words after Him. Faith is acknowledging that
you believe what Father says about you.
Thirdly, identify yourself with Christ through His work on the
cross for you. When a believer still calls himself a sinner, he
is refusing to identify with Christ through His work on the
cross for him. When you call yourself sick, or you say you
need to be delivered, or that you are still under generational
curses, the person you are acknowledging is someone who
is not identified with Christ through His work on the cross
for you.

The Holy Spirit has been sent from the Father in the Name
of the Lord Jesus Christ here on earth. He has a ministry
with very specific parameters. He only works on earth
through what Christ did from the cross to the throne. Unless
you identify yourself with what Christ has done for you
through His work, the Holy Spirit cannot administer anything
to you.
He works through the cross. The cross here does not refer
to the wooden instrument of execution, but it refers to the
substitution of Christ. The fact that He replaced you before
the Father. He left the right hand of the Father and He
became the man of sorrows so you can become the son of
the right hand of the Father. He who is the blessed Son of
the Most High took your curse so that you can be called the
blessed son of the Most High. When you see what Jesus
did on the cross for you, you will walk in them.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for all you have done for me. I
acknowledge that you gave me all things in giving me
Christ. My faith is in you and in nothing else. I acknowledge
your work from the cross to throne and I declare that from
this day I walk in its benefits. AMEN.

FROM HUMANITY TO DIVINITY

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and
blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that
through death he might destroy him that had the power of
death, that is, the devil;”

 Thought for the day.
Whatever divinity touches is healed.

Whatever divinity touches is healed. When Jesus came, the

Word of God says as the children are partakers of flesh and
blood, He likewise took part of the same. When He was
born, He assumed our fallen humanity from Mary but yet
was not contaminated by it. He came and took our flesh and
fulfilled the law (Gal. 4:4). He assumed our fallen humanity
because we are only redeemed to the extent to which He
assumed what we were. If He did not become what we
were, it means we are not saved. He assumed our fallen
nature yet He was uncontaminated by it; tempted at all
points yet without sin.
This is important because the fact that He assumed our
humanity but yet His divinity was not contaminated by it, by
Him touching our humanity implies our humanity is being
touched with divinity and therefore we are healed. In the
experience of the incarnation of Jesus, every temptation He
experiences He reverses by experiencing it. That is why
Jesus had to be tempted at all points. He experienced the
Adamic condition and converted it in experiencing it in

Himself. The work of Christ did not commence at the cross;

it started in His person from the womb of Mary. When He
was born into this world, that is when the work started and
it was completed at the cross. The last enemy that He
experienced was death and when He experienced death,
death was defeated by His experience of it. By virtue of Him
being the God-Man, His divinity healed and delivered us
from death so that when He died, death died as well. So
death died in the death of Jesus Christ. Whatever you think
is a struggle in your life, you need to acknowledge that
Christ has been touched by the feelings your infirmity and
His experience has completely converted our Adamic
existence.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for the incarnation of Jesus

Christ that He converted my Adamic existence by allowing
Himself to be touched with the feeling of my infirmities. I
thank you for your work upon the cross. I declare that by
virtue of your experience, every human experience has
been reversed in my life. This day I say of myself what You
say of Yourself.

Abiding in the Father’s Love for You

“As the Father has loved me, I also have loved you: abide
in my love”.
John 15:9 (DBY)
 Thought for the day.
God has loved you even as He loves the Lord Jesus,
because you are in Christ and you and Christ are one.

As a believer your active participation in the indwelling of

God is to take residence in the reality that the Father
intimately and personally loves you. To continue in the love
of the Father is the same word as to dwell or abide. The
believer needs to confidently expect, by taking residence in
the love of God. Most of the time, dwelling in God’s love has
been preached in this way: that if you do not love, you are
not continuing in God’s love; if you do not love everybody
the way God loves you, you are not continuing in God’s
love. To dwell in His love means to know that you are loved
by the Lord Jesus Christ even as the Father loves you. John
17:21-23 says He has loved us even as He loves the Lord
Jesus. How is it so? Because you are in Christ and you and
Christ are one. He cannot love Christ without loving you and
He cannot love you without loving Christ.
The Father loves us to the same extent, the same degree
to which He loves Jesus, not because we have loved God
but because He loves us. The phrase 'our love' is not that
we have loved God but that God has loved us. This love
that God has for us is made perfect and complete in that,

by this unconditional love, we have confident expectation

and assurance. Because of the unconditional love of the
Father, when we face God on the Day of Judgment, we do
not need to have any doubt because we know He loves us.
The word Judgment is the Greek word ‘krisis’. That we may
have boldness on the day of crisis because as He is so are
we in this world. 'Krisis' means to determine the course of
events. In the day of crisis when there are things that want
to determine the course of events in your life, this is where
the love the Father has for us is made complete. God loves
you so much that even in the day of crisis, you have the
confidence and assurance that as He is, so are you in this
world. Your confidence is established in the revelation that
Father’s love for you is already complete in every situation.
If you are aware that the Father loves you, no matter what
happens or what tries to determine the course of events in
your life, in that day of crisis, you will be stabilized in
confidence that the Father loves you unconditionally and
because He loves you, you are one with Christ. The
experience of Christ is your experience; His position is your
condition; as He is, so are you in this world therefore
nothing will determine the course of events in your life other
than the Father’s love.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for including me into the

relationship you have with your only begotten Son, Christ
Jesus. Thank you because you have loved me with the
same love with which you loved Christ. By virtue of my
union with Him, I have the confidence and assurance that
