Imagination Spaces
We are excited to let you know about some fantastic events coming to Surrey Libraries over the next few months.
Pied Piper Theatre Company
Saturday 12 October.
Green Libraries Week with the Pied Piper Theatre Company!
Working in partnership with Pied Piper Theatre Company, we are excited to bring a great show called DIG! to Haslemere Library for a gentle first theatre experience, perfect for the young. Adapted for 2-4 year olds, join us during Green Libraries Week 2024 to hear a story bring to life a world of growing plants, busy bugs, wriggling worms and ever changing weather! Share the music, singing and story - and then maybe stay to play amongst the plants.
There will be 3 performances throughout the day; 10am, 11.30am and 2pm. The 2pm performance will include British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation.
Booking will be required. Ticket price is Pay What You Can (minimum suggested price per children is £2).
For more information and to book a time slot, please see our booking page
In the Margins art exhibition – touring Surrey Libraries
Working in partnership with Disability Arts in Surrey (DAiSY), Artist Jon Adams, and several of DAiSY's member organisations (Art Matters, Bloomin' Arts and The Orpheus Centre), they created a fantastic collection of artworks that were installed at Reigate Library for over 2 months. 'In the Margins' aims to empower marginalised disabled artists and share their life experiences. The project tells their life stories, explores their passions, and highlights places where they feel a sense of belonging. Visitors are invited to explore these stories, promoting understanding, empathy, and inclusion.
DAiSY and the project "In The Margins"
After the successful exhibition at Reigate library, we are very excited to let you know that the "In the Margins Art Exhibition" will be touring around other libraries across Surrey.
Dates and locations to be confirmed.
