Key dates for Clearing 2024

Clearing 2024 opens on 5 July, but you can apply to Sussex through Clearing from 1 July. See the key dates to look out for:

  • International Baccalaureate requirements: These will be published on our Clearing course listings on Monday 1 of July.
  • International Baccalaureate results: These will be issued at 2pm UK time on Friday 5 July 2024.
  • BTEC and other vocational courses: You can apply in Clearing as soon as you have all your results in July or August.
  • A-level results: These will be issued on Thursday 15 August 2024. We will publish our A-level requirements for Clearing in advance. Sign up for our Clearing updates to be the first to hear when.
  • For any other European and international qualifications: you can apply in Clearing soon as you have all your results in July or August. 

Accommodation at Sussex

We have plenty of accommodation places available for applicants in Clearing.

Once we have your results, you accept your Clearing offer and are placed at Sussex, you will receive a link to apply for accommodation and will be allocated a room.

Uni checklist: How to choose a university

Before you choose a university, check it has everything a university should have:

    We were founded in 1961 when humanity went to space and hatchbacks were on the streets.

    Our students have posed next to our concrete University of Sussex sign for decades.

    Our 60-year-old architecture remains as beautiful as it did on day one - and some of our buildings are Grade I listed.
