A cigar bar to come.

You may have heard that a cigar bar and lounge is opening up at 109 Main St. in Little Rock.

Here are more details: Michael Peace, 31, of Little Rock plans to open Maduro Cigar Bar & Lounge by early February, although the opening is pending the city of Little Rock's approval of a conditional use permit for the operation, as well as awarding of a private club permit and permits for serving wine, beer and liquor on the Maduro premises from Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Peace's establishment already has received a tobacco license.

Maduro is going to be set up as a cigar shop with a lounge where premium handmade cigars will be sold, Peace said, in addition to having a separate bar and lounge with full bar and appetizer menus.

Peace does not have prior restaurant or lounge ownership experience, but has been entrepreneurial in the past. He is the founder of JMP Consulting of Little Rock.
