The AMC-280M from AAEON Technology is a wallmount industrial computer chassis for space-limited applications, mainly designed for users who require a compact system using motherboardsThe AMC-280M chassis offers one or two front panel 3.5" disk drive bays for floppy drives or flash card readers and one front panel 5.25" disk drive bay for a removable hard disk or CD-ROM. Users have many alternatives to make this system suitable for their needs. In addition, the internal design of the chassis is flexible because it supports up to two internal 3.5" disk drive bays for hard disks plus an option for two more internal 3.5" disk drive towers.
This unit supports ATX/Micro ATX form factor motherboards, and it can be equipped with a PS2 standard power supply up to 400W. The chassis comes with shock-resistant measures to protect storage devices. It can be vertically or horizontally mounted and easily fit into different space-limited environments. There is an alarm module option to add versatility.
StorCase[R] Technology's Data Express Profile DX115 removable drive enclosures for Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) or Serial ATA (SATA) 3 Gbps drives is said to be the first-to-market removable SAS drive product in the industry. With SAS interface technology being considered by storage industry analysts as the "next generation SCSI", this enclosure is appropriate for applications with stringent data safety and security requirements, such as those associated with healthcare and/or government sectors. The Profile enclosures are designed to accommodate sleek or custom-sized PC peripheral bays, and the latest SAS models are downward compatible with SATA drives.
Each Profile DX115 is a compact drive carrier and receiving frame for internally mounting a low-profile, 3.5" drive into any half-height, 5.25" peripheral bay. Profile enclosures incorporate protective Soft Start circuitry to ensure data integrity during spin-up and insertion, and they include a mechanical keylock on the drive carrier for additional security. All Data Express models provide a 50K frame-to-carrier mating connector rating. An integrated fan ensures proper drive cooling, and the unit is said to exceed the rotational vibration and heat dissipation requirements of today's high-speed drives.
The DX115 offers rugged construction to protect the drive in the event of physical trauma. An optional carrying case allows easy transportation and protection of the drive carrier.
