Five put in the miles to get kids smiling.
FIVE members of staff from a Coventry bank are in training to run the London Marathon to raise money for children with disabilities. The team, from Abbey National's cahoot contact centre, in Smithfield Way, are hoping to raise at least pounds 7,500 by running the marathon in April.
Those taking part are Matt Purslow, Andy Adkin, Kylie Finn, John Weaver and Neil Hardy and they are appealing to the people of Coventry to help raise as much money possible.
The money will go to Whizz-kidz, a national charity which aims to improve the quality of life for disabled children by providing mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs and tricycles which are unavailable on the NHS.
Andy Adkin said: "As mobile people ourselves, we would like to do our bit to help improve mobility for others and Whizz-kidz is a national charity which has helped people in the local area."
Anyone who wishes to help should contact Andy Adkin on 024 7662 7091.
