Historic pub to undergo revamp.
Somerset-based firm the Walcot Group has bought a historic pub in Bath as it continues its expansion across the South West.
Built in the 1700s, The White Hart, pictured, is a Grade II-listed building in Widcombe which has been closed since March this year.
The pub will undergo an extensive refurbishment to preserve and restore the site's historic features before re-opening later this year.
Downstairs, the pub features a large central bar, an open kitchen, and a secluded courtyard.
Upstairs is a private dining space for up to 40 guests with a bar.
The Walcot Group opened the 150-cover Walcot House in Bath in 2019. It currently operates three restaurants across the South West alongside a butcher's shop.
Group directors Martin and Debbie Still previously owned the award-winning Pear Tree in Whitley, Wiltshire, and the Methuen Arms Pub and Hotel in Corsham, Wiltshire.
Martin said: "We're excited to return to our publican roots with The White Hart.
"It's a beautiful, much-loved boozer, and we're looking forward to putting it back at the heart of the community in Widcombe.
"We have been looking for the right pub in Bath for a few years, and we're delighted to have found it."
The group opened its fourth site Little Walcot, a neighbourhood restaurant in Frome, in April this year.
