Roll-out of the Global Management Accounting Principles

CIMA SE Asia organised an event to launch the Global Management Accounting Principles in three countries across the region: Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand.

The day featured round-table discussions for academics and CFO forums for business leaders. Noel Tagoe FCMA, CGMA, executive director of education at CIMA, gave a presentation on the principles. He also participated in the forums, where panellists discussed the personal attributes required for success as a CFO and how to build an effective finance team with the help of the CGMA competency framework.

The Global Management Accounting Principles have been endorsed by the Indonesian Institute of Accountants and the Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Presentation of honorary CIMA fellowship

12 November 2014 Datuk Johan Idris, president of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (pictured, right, with CIMA's president, Keith Luck FCMA, CGMA), was awarded an honorary CIMA fellowship and CGMA designation at the World Congress of Accountants in Rome.
