Well done for best display.
GARDENERS who tended the best floral display in the Welsh capital were today justly basking in the glory of their Wales in Bloom win.Congratulations to the greenfingered inmates of Cardiff Prison whose flowering tribute to the Queen's Golden Jubilee earned them this year's prize in the Best Public Building award.
The judges praised their display which included exotic plants and blooms and their piece de resistance, the flowering Union Flag bed. Sadly, because the display - like the gardeners themselves - is locked away from the rest of the world, the rest of us will never have the chance to appreciate their horticultural prowess - unless, of course, we've been particularly naughty.
