Archangels co-founder Barry Sealey dies, aged 88

1. One of Scotland’s best known angel investors has passed away at the age of 88.

Barry Sealey was one of the co-founders of the Archangels network, along with Mike Rutterford, when it opened in 1992. He sat on numerous boards and backed dozens of small firms. Prior to starting Archangels he had been a corporate dealmaker within Christian Salvesen.

David Ovens, the joint managing director at Archangels, said: “We’re all incredibly saddened by Barry Sealey’s passing and our sincere condolences go out to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him
