My grandfather was the psychiatrist RD Laing — a phenomenal guy, but he drunk, snorted and shagged away all his money. He made terrible business decisions and left his family no money, literally zero. The only thing he left behind was his works. Sadly, I never met him. He died in 1989 playing tennis in St Tropez aged 61 (says George Laing, 31).
