Austin, TX – The Texas Center for the Book has announced that it will host a Spooky Storytime at the Texas State Library, featuring award-winning storyteller Bernadette Nason, on Monday, Oct. 14. This free event is for all ages and will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Public Event Space at the Lorenzo de Zavala State Archives and Library Building, 1201 Brazos St. in Austin, next door to the Texas Capitol.

Austin, TX – Registration for the annual state electronic records management conference, Texas e-Records, is now open. This year’s conference will take place in person in Austin on Nov. 22. The theme is The Next Records Frontier. Registration is open to all Texas public sector employees.

Austin, TX – As part of its ongoing efforts to provide education and support to archival repositories in the state, the Texas Historical Records Advisory Board (THRAB), with support from the National Historical Publication and Records Commission (NHPRC), will provide funding for up to four professional preservation assessments in the El Paso area and Far West Texas region during December of 2024.

TSLAC is looking for qualified libraries to attend a Family Place Libraries™ Training Institute at the new Cedar Park Public Library in Cedar Park, Texas, and implement the program in their libraries.
