you know what the w o r s t thing about adhd is? (at least i think this one is the adhd, could be one of the 429432 other things i have)

time is meaningless.

which means if i have one (1) thing that i need to do, my brain has to block the entire day out for it.

which means that even if it’s technically a “day off” if i have one (1) important obligation–even if it’s only gonna take like 2 hours out of hte day–my brain doesn’t count it as a “day off” so i don’t actually get to use it to decompress from everything else

which is how i end up going weeks or months without having a “day off” that my brain will register as such so my stress levels just keep compounding, and my energy levels keep plummeting, and it’s hell on earth is what it is

...In true ADHD fashion, guess who accidentally deleted the wrong post because and they were multi-tasking and got distracted and then had to Google to find this again?

There's a bunch of adhd advice out there that's like "people with adhd tend to work better under deadlines due to the anxiety so here are ways to artificially induce a stress response in order to get you to get work done" and it's like well what if I don't want to be stressed out all the time in order to function

Not me getting secondhand anxiety looking at the absolute chaos of this hypothetical discord user’s life based on these messages-

This person is apparently

• Travelling internationally likely very soon

• Currently having homework for an active biology class

• At least somewhat present in the moderation of a server

• Actively involved in competitive sports

• Has an engagement or event currently planned (that is understandably being ignored)

Maybe I’m lazy or something but this is enough to make me curl up and die

on the one hand, looking at negative reviews can be helpful because so often the "5 STAR, TOTALLY PERFECT" reviews are just blatantly fake

but on the other i end up getting paralyzed and dissuading myself from everything even stuff i NEED to buy

help how do i balance this

Tumblr has new UI to actually show reply chains in posts as actual reply chains. This is objectively a good thing. But also I absolutely will mourn the incomprehensible disaster mess of opening replies to see someone at-mentioning another account with accusations of war crimes and then scrolling through 157 replies to try to figure out who in the fuck they're responding to.

And after going through 157 replies you never actually find the OG reply because it's since been blocked/deleted/hidden/that person has changed their URL and is effectively hiding in the crowd like a dude in a chase montage who stole a hat and a jacket off a mannequin

It's actually a misconception that natural ones are critical fails in D&D.

While admittedly a very common houserule, if you check the actual player's handbook, you'll see that the only noted effect of rolling a 1 on your skill check is that the GM gets to break your kneecaps with a golf club.

debating if it would be funnier to have a bumper sticker saying "my other ride is a [exact make and model of the car the sticker is on]" or "my other ride is a [equally shitty but different car]"

Your children's show unfortunately has the absolute wrong take on tackling fascism. Yeah the power of friendship angle is showing a dismal lack of understanding of Marxist theory or even intro-level Leninism. Yeah my only two interests are children's media and online leftist discourse so this is gonna be a problem.

Hello living embodiment of my strawman I have some incredible news for you about how people do in fact talk about Avatar The Last Airbender
