Save four families in Gaza now!

[plain text: Save four families in Gaza now! end plain text.]

I've already made two posts about these families so far linking to their GoFundMe's, but despite the traction, that didn't equal much sizeable progress.

The families in question are:

  • Momen Al Ostaz's family: a family of 10 people in the Gaza Strip, trapped without food, water, or proper supplies and most of them require some form of medical intervention due to stress or diseases like Hep C caused by poor conditions. His campaign is at €16,634 out of its €70,000 goal. (#125 on the vetted spreadsheet)
  • Abdullah Ameen's family: Abdullah is a man living currently in the Nuseirat camp with his family of four - him, his wife, his son, and newborn daughter. He has later amended his campaign to evacuate his sisters and his mother from Gaza as well. His campaign was created back in late April, but has still not reached its goal of €35,000, only having raised €5,223. (#134)
  • Doaa's family: Doaa is a Gazan woman whose family is currently trapped in Khan Yunis. Her campaign is attempting to raise enough money to evacuate her sisters and their families into Egypt creating a total of THIRTEEN family members that need to get through the border. The campaign is way below its goal, having only raised $3,361 of 65,000. (Shared by 90-ghost)
  • Mahmoud Nedal's family: A family of 6 - him, his older brother, his parents, his 6-year-old sister, and 2-year-old brother. The campaign's raised only $3,279 of its 50,000 goal. (#123)

These campaigns are all extremely urgent! These people are trapped in inhospitable conditions without proper access to the essentials to life! Can you imagine having to put you and your family's lives into the hands of strangers who have only ignored you?

The GoFundMe's listed here have not garnered any traction whatsoever, and donations have been quite stagnant. I intend to not let this happen by whatever means I have.

Let's raise up to 8,000 for the last three campaigns and raise 4,000 for the first within the next 5 days!

[Plain text: Let's raise up to 8,000 for the last three campaigns and raise 4,000 EUR for the first within the next 5 days! end plain text.]

I understand this goal may not seem manageable, but it absolutely is! This user base has helped raise 10k, 4k, 6k for certain campaigns within a few days, I don't see why this would be any less manageable.

This is a call to action! Do NOT leave these people behind! Donate whatever you can and share, especially if you can NOT donate!

Their kids and their families should not have to live in squalor and deplorable conditions. Do not look away.

Hi all, as you know now Shaima and Muhammad are Wafaa's sister and brother, and they urgently need to evacuate all 10 of their children before they can even think to evacuate themselves and their respective spouses.

Shaima and Muhammad's campaign was targeted by a smear campaign 2 days ago and their momentum suffered. This fundraiser was personally added to the vetted spreadsheet by @el-shab-hussein as family number 260, so please don't hesitate to donate.

Wafaa called Muhammad again earlier today to ask after the children, and she told me extremely worrying news. As you know, Salem was only born a few weeks ago in a militarily compromised field hospital in Khan Younis. Manal, Salem's mother, could not produce breast milk because of stress and malnutrition she is suffering herself. Salem since birth was diagnosed with anemia and he is very frail. On top of this, he is starving almost every day, due to the scarcity of milk available for purchase in Gaza. The family has been feeding Salem water and cooked flour but this is an extremely dangerous diet for a newborn to be on, and could have severe long-term health effects.

At the moment, the four parents in this family are scrambling to find milk and food for Salem but also the other children, and the task of calming Salem and taking care of him—as Salem is so hungry these past few days he could not even cry—has been given to the 15 year old twins Zeina and Malik.

Hala agency has told Wafaa they will charge adult rates for any children in the family older than 15 years old, which means 6 of the 10 children need $5,000 to be registered for evacuation, because of corporate greed.

Please help us raise enough money so that at least one of the twins can evacuate with Salem and the rest of the young children (Salma, age 5; and Malak, age 8) so that Salem would not be separated from his older cousin caretakers. This means we have to raise at least $15,000 by the end of day.

The last donations were from 10 minutes and 20 minutes ago, please don't let this campaign slow down again! Currently $13,311 raised of $15,000 daily goal, that's $1,689 left to raise by the end of day. We can do it with your help by sharing this campaign and donating what you can spare.

Please donate whatever you're able and enter the sweater raffle provided by @terroristiraqis which ends midnight TONIGHT! For an entry of minimum $5 donations (sending the proof of donation), you may win a white crocheted sweater! Details for this raffle here.

We are currently planning more raffles which will end in late August and beyond, so please stay tuned and continue donating. Thank you all for your continued support

Thank you to the 6 donors who contributed in the past hour!! We raised $205 for Wafaa’s family, let’s keep up this momentum!!

$13,516 raised of $15,000 daily goal, that’s $1,484 left to raise! If we continue this momentum, this goal is entirely possible!

Please continue to help raise funds so at least one of the 15 year old twins can be evacuated alongside their younger siblings as their caretakers. This is incredibly urgent.
