Hello, I am Asmaa Ayyad, daughter of a family of 8 members.

We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair.

We struggle daily to survive in an environment filled with threats and dangers.

My father and brothers lost our only source of income and our house was destroyed and we are now homeless 💔

We urgently appeal for your moral and financial assistance to cover the necessary costs for escaping to a safe environment, where we can build a better future for our children and ensure our family's safety.

asmaa's family consists of 8 members- all of whom led beautiful lives prior to the war. asmaa's older brother, dia, was looking forward to his own wedding. instead of experiencing such a joyous day, his life was shattered after his home was destroyed by the israeli army.

to lose a home- all your valuable possessions- your memories- in an instant is something that cannot be fully understood unless you've gone through it yourself. in asmaa's own words (read & share full post here):

asmaa is a new friend of mine and new to tumblr. her account has been vouched for by another vetted 🇵🇸 family (@/abedalazeiz -> safaa's husband, vetted by 90-ghost here*). apart from that, she has an established social media presence on instagram (@asmaa_ayyad98) that shares details that match with the message she sent to me earlier today:

from what i've gathered from asmaa's insta (and i apologize in advance if any details are slightly off), she graduated from the university of palestine in 2021 and went on to study/train to become a practicing lawyer. the ongoing bombardment from the israeli army has stripped asmaa of her friends, loved ones, and the life she once led.

there is no world where any family should have to endure through these horrific circumstances. and it is clear from reading their stories that they cannot bear to live like this any longer.
